أعلن الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، أن المفاوضين الأوكرانيين في طريقهم إلى الولايات المتحدة لإجراء جولة جديدة من المحادثات، في إطار الجهود الرامية لوقف الحرب المستعرة مع روسيا منذ نحو 4 سنوات.
وضع اللمسات على الضمانات الأمنية
وقال زيلينسكي في مؤتمر صحفي، اليوم (الجمعة): إن الهدف الرئيسي من المحادثات وضع اللمسات الأخيرة على الضمانات الأمنية، مضيفاً أنه في حال الاتفاق على الضمانات الأمنية الأمريكية، من الممكن التوقيع عليها في دافوس هذا الشهر.
ولفت إلى أن أوكرانيا أنجزت الجزء الخاص بها من العمل على الوثائق التي تحدد حزمة الازدهار لتوفير الأموال اللازمة لإعادة إعمار أوكرانيا المكلفة بعد الحرب، إضافة إلى الضمانات الأمنية المصممة لمنع أي هجوم روسي مستقبلي.
وفي منشور عبر حسابه بمنصة «إكس»، كتب زيلينسكي أن روسيا تعرقل جهود السلام، واستشهد بالضربات الأخيرة التي شنّتها موسكو على شبكة الطاقة الأوكرانية دليلاً على نواياها الحقيقية.
وكتب بعد المؤتمر الصحفي: «كل ضربة من هذه الضربات ضد قطاع الطاقة لدينا ومدننا تُظهر بوضوح مصالح روسيا ونواياها الحقيقية: فهي لا تهتم بالاتفاقيات، بل بتدمير أوكرانيا أكثر».
قمة تحالف الراغبين
ودعمت الولايات المتحدة للمرة الأولى، تحالفاً واسعاً من حلفاء أوكرانيا في التعهد بتقديم ضمانات أمنية قال القادة إنها ستشمل الالتزام بمساندة كييف، إذا تعرضت لهجوم روسي جديد.
وجاء هذا التعهد في باريس خلال قمة «تحالف الراغبين» الذي يتكون في معظمه من دول أوروبية بهدف تأكيد الضمانات الأمنية لطمأنة كييف في حال وقف إطلاق النار مع روسيا.
واستضافت ولاية فلوريدا والشهر الماضي، محادثات مثمرة على مدار 3 أيام بين الولايات المتحدة وأوكرانيا وشركائها الأوروبيين، ركزت على الضمانات الأمنية، وخطط السلام، والازدهار الاقتصادي.
وعقد اجتماع منفصل بصيغة أمريكية-أوكرانية، جرى خلاله التركيز على 4 مستندات رئيسية، هي: مواصلة تطوير خطة من 20 نقطة، وتنسيق المواقف بشأن إطار ضمانات أمنية متعددة الأطراف، وتنسيق المواقف بشأن إطار ضمانات أمنية أمريكية لأوكرانيا، إضافة إلى مواصلة تطوير خطة اقتصادية وخطة للازدهار.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian negotiators are on their way to the United States for a new round of talks, as part of efforts to end the war that has been raging with Russia for nearly 4 years.
Finalizing Security Guarantees
Zelensky said at a press conference today (Friday) that the main goal of the talks is to finalize the security guarantees, adding that if an agreement is reached on the American security guarantees, they could be signed in Davos this month.
He pointed out that Ukraine has completed its part of the work on the documents that outline the prosperity package to provide the necessary funds for the costly reconstruction of Ukraine after the war, in addition to the security guarantees designed to prevent any future Russian attack.
In a post on his account on the "X" platform, Zelensky wrote that Russia is obstructing peace efforts, citing the recent strikes carried out by Moscow on the Ukrainian energy grid as evidence of its true intentions.
He wrote after the press conference: "Each of these strikes against our energy sector and our cities clearly shows Russia's interests and true intentions: it does not care about agreements, but rather about further destroying Ukraine."
Summit of the Coalition of the Willing
The United States, for the first time, supported a broad coalition of Ukraine's allies in pledging to provide security guarantees that leaders said would include a commitment to support Kyiv if it faces a new Russian attack.
This pledge came in Paris during the "Coalition of the Willing" summit, which is mostly composed of European countries aimed at confirming security guarantees to reassure Kyiv in the event of a ceasefire with Russia.
Florida hosted fruitful talks last month over three days between the United States, Ukraine, and its European partners, focusing on security guarantees, peace plans, and economic prosperity.
A separate meeting was held in an American-Ukrainian format, during which the focus was on four main documents: continuing to develop a 20-point plan, coordinating positions on a framework for multilateral security guarantees, coordinating positions on a framework for American security guarantees for Ukraine, in addition to continuing to develop an economic plan and a prosperity plan.
