فيما تتواصل الاجتماعات بين المبعوث الخاص للرئيس الروسي كيريل ديمترييف ونظيره الأمريكي ستيف ويتكوف ومسؤولين أمريكيين، اليوم (الأحد)، في الولايات المتحدة، أعرب مبعوث الرئيس بوتين عن تفاؤله بقرب التوصل إلى حل دبلوماسي لحرب أوكرانيا.
ونقلت وسائل إعلام غربية عن مصدر مطلع قوله: عُقدت اجتماعات بين المبعوث الروسي لشؤون الاستثمار والتعاون الاقتصادي مع الدول الأجنبية وممثلي إدارة الرئيس دونالد ترمب يومي 24 و25 أكتوبر، وستستمر في 26 أكتوبر.
اعتراف زيلينسكي بخطوط القتال
وقبيل اجتماع اليوم، اعتبر ديمترييف، أن أوكرانيا وروسيا والولايات المتحدة «قريبة جداً» من التوصل إلى اتفاق دبلوماسي لإنهاء الحرب في أوكرانيا.
وقال المبعوث الروسي لشبكة CNN، مساء الجمعة: إن اعتراف الرئيس زيلينسكي المسبق بأن الأمر يتعلق بخطوط القتال يُعدّ خطوة كبيرة.
وأضاف: «كما تعلمون، كان موقفه السابق هو ضرورة انسحاب روسيا بالكامل. لذا، أعتقد أننا قريبون جداً من حل دبلوماسي يمكن التوصل إليه».
لكن أوكرانيا مع حلفائها الأوروبيين، حذّرت، الجمعة، من أنه «يجب عدم تغيير الحدود بالقوة». وطلبت روسيا من أوكرانيا التنازل عن المزيد من الأراضي قبل أن تتمكن من الموافقة على وقف إطلاق النار.
ضمانات أمنية لأوكرانيا
وعبر ديمترييف، عن انفتاح موسكو على منح أوكرانيا «ضمانات أمنية»، مشدداً على ضرورة ضمان حياد كييف، ورفض تواجد حلف شمال الأطلسي «الناتو» على حدود روسيا.
وقلل خلال حوار مع شبكة «فوكس نيوز» الأمريكية، من تأثير العقوبات الأمريكية على روسيا، قائلاً إنه «لا يوجد ضغط يمكن أن يؤثر على روسيا»، معبراً عن اعتقاده بأن العقوبات على موسكو لن يكون لها تأثير كبير على الاقتصاد الروسي، عازياً السبب إلى أن «أسعار النفط في العالم سترتفع، وستبيع روسيا كميات أقل من النفط ولكن بسعر أعلى».
ورداً على سؤال بشأن ما تريده روسيا لإنهاء الحرب في أوكرانيا، قال ديمترييف، إن مهمته تنصب على الاقتصاد والاستثمارات والعلاقة العامة مع الولايات المتحدة وضمان حدوث حوار، وذلك قبل أن يوضح: «أعتقد أن هناك عناصر عدة، أحدها هو ضمانات أمنية لأوكرانيا. وروسيا قالت نعم، منفتحون على ضمانات أمنية لأوكرانيا».
As meetings continue today (Sunday) between Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev and his American counterpart Steve Witkoff, along with U.S. officials in the United States, the Russian envoy expressed optimism about the imminent possibility of reaching a diplomatic solution to the war in Ukraine.
Western media reported that a source familiar with the matter stated: Meetings were held between the Russian envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries and representatives of President Donald Trump's administration on October 24 and 25, and will continue on October 26.
Zelensky's Acknowledgment of the Front Lines
Before today's meeting, Dmitriev considered that Ukraine, Russia, and the United States are "very close" to reaching a diplomatic agreement to end the war in Ukraine.
He told CNN on Friday evening that President Zelensky's prior acknowledgment that it concerns the front lines is a significant step.
He added: "As you know, his previous position was that Russia must withdraw completely. So, I believe we are very close to a diplomatic solution that can be reached."
However, Ukraine, along with its European allies, warned on Friday that "borders should not be changed by force." Russia has demanded that Ukraine concede more territory before it can agree to a ceasefire.
Security Guarantees for Ukraine
Dmitriev expressed Moscow's openness to providing Ukraine with "security guarantees," emphasizing the need to ensure Kyiv's neutrality and rejecting the presence of NATO on Russia's borders.
During an interview with the American network Fox News, he downplayed the impact of U.S. sanctions on Russia, stating that "there is no pressure that can affect Russia," expressing his belief that sanctions on Moscow will not have a significant impact on the Russian economy, attributing this to the fact that "oil prices in the world will rise, and Russia will sell less oil but at a higher price."
In response to a question about what Russia wants to end the war in Ukraine, Dmitriev said that his mission focuses on the economy, investments, public relations with the United States, and ensuring dialogue, before clarifying: "I believe there are several elements, one of which is security guarantees for Ukraine. And Russia has said yes, we are open to security guarantees for Ukraine."
