Media sources confirmed that Hamas delivered the bodies of two Israeli captives to the International Red Cross as part of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated today (Saturday) that the war will end after the second phase of the Gaza agreement is executed.
Netanyahu said in a television interview: "The war will end completely when the terms of the agreement are implemented, including the return of all hostages, dismantling Hamas, and disarming the Gaza Strip," explaining that he will summarize the period of the war with a decision he will present to the government tomorrow to rename the war as "The War of Advancement."
Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering changing the withdrawal lines due to Hamas's delay in delivering the bodies of the captives.
In the same context, Palestinian media confirmed this evening that the Red Cross received the bodies of two hostages from Hamas in Gaza.
Hamas stated in a message via Telegram that it "will deliver the bodies of two Israeli prisoners that were extracted today in the Gaza Strip."
It clarified that the delivery process comes as part of humanitarian arrangements and partial agreements that include an exchange of bodies and prisoners between the two sides.
Israeli media reported estimates from the Israeli army indicating that Hamas knows the location of at least eight bodies of captives in its possession in the Gaza Strip and that it could return them immediately.
Hamas had delivered the remains of two Israeli captives to the International Committee of the Red Cross on Wednesday evening, as part of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the ongoing prisoner exchange deal between the two sides.
