يتوقع أن تصل القوات الأمريكية إلى محيط قطاع غزة صباح يوم غد الأحد، وطرحت التساؤلات حول مواقع تمركز تلك القوات. وفيما نفى مسؤول أمريكي، مساء أمس (الجمعة)، ما تردد عن إمكانية تمركزها داخل القطاع الفلسطيني المنكوب، أفصح مسؤول إسرائيلي كبير، أنها ستتوجه إلى قاعدة «هاتسور» الجوية بالقرب من مدينة أشدود في إسرائيل. وحدد مهمتها في مراقبة وقف إطلاق النار في غزة، بحسب ما أعلن موقع «أكسيوس» الأمريكي، اليوم (السبت).
وأفاد المسؤول الأمريكي أن الجنود الـ 200 الذين سيأتون إلى محيط غزة، لن يدخلوا القطاع بل سيعملون كقوة استقرار دولية ستكون منتشرة هناك. وأضاف أن مهمة هذه القوة تتركز في إقامة مركز تنسيق مدني عسكري، مهمته تنظيم المساعدات الإنسانية بما فيها الشؤون العملانية وتوفير المساعدة الأمنية، ومراقبة تطبيق وقف إطلاق النار.
ولفت المسؤول إلى أن ممثلين من كافة الشركاء المساهمين في قوة دولية لحفظ الاستقرار، سيعملون في المركز، إلى جانب مشاركة ممثلين للمنظمات غير الحكومية الموجودة الآن على الأرض أو المنظمات التي ستنضم في المستقبل إلى العمل.
وذكر أن المركز سيعمل على المساعدة في الانتقال إلى الحكم المدني بأسرع وقت، مؤكدا أنه «لتطبيق وقف إطلاق النار سيكون هناك نزع لسلاح حركة حماس، وسيعمل الفرقاء على التأكد من حدوث ذلك».
يذكر أن مسؤولين أمريكيين، أعلنوا، الخميس، أن فريقاً مكوناً من 200 عسكري أمريكي سيشارك في الإشراف على تطبيق اتفاق وقف النار في غزة. ولفت أحد المسؤولين إلى أن مسؤولين عسكريين مصريين وقطريين وأتراكاً سينضمون للفريق.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، أعلن، مساء الأربعاء الماضي، اتفاق إسرائيل وحماس على المرحلة الأولى من خطة وقف الحرب في غزة وتبادل الأسرى، بعد أيام من المفاوضات غير المباشرة في شرم الشيخ برعاية الوسطاء (مصر وقطر والولايات المتحدة، بمشاركة تركية).

It is expected that American forces will arrive in the vicinity of the Gaza Strip tomorrow morning, Sunday, and questions have been raised about the locations where these forces will be stationed. While an American official denied last night (Friday) the rumors about the possibility of them being stationed inside the devastated Palestinian territory, a senior Israeli official revealed that they will head to the "Hatzor" airbase near the city of Ashdod in Israel. He specified their mission as monitoring the ceasefire in Gaza, according to what the American site "Axios" announced today (Saturday).
The American official stated that the 200 soldiers who will come to the vicinity of Gaza will not enter the territory but will operate as an international stabilization force that will be deployed there. He added that the mission of this force focuses on establishing a civil-military coordination center, whose task is to organize humanitarian aid, including operational affairs and providing security assistance, and monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire.
The official pointed out that representatives from all partner contributors to the international stabilization force will work in the center, alongside representatives from non-governmental organizations currently on the ground or organizations that will join the work in the future.
He mentioned that the center will work to assist in the transition to civilian governance as quickly as possible, emphasizing that "to implement the ceasefire, there will be a disarmament of Hamas, and the parties will work to ensure that this happens."

One of the officials pointed out that Egyptian, Qatari, and Turkish military officials will join the team.
