Several explosions shook the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, today (Sunday). An Israeli security source announced the start of airstrikes on targets belonging to the Houthi group. Israeli media reported the source as saying that the wave of airstrikes on the Yemeni capital was in response to the recent Houthi missile attacks.

It was revealed that the airstrikes targeted around 50 sites, including the presidential complex, the oil company on 60th Street, power stations, and fuel sites in Sana'a

According to eyewitnesses, the Israeli strikes hit the vicinity of the presidential complex and missile bases.

The Houthi group launched a missile towards Israel last Friday, while an Israeli investigation revealed that the Houthi missile carried a multi-stage warhead capable of splitting.

Informed Israeli political sources disclosed that the Israeli military intelligence "Aman" and the Mossad are making intensive efforts to compile a wide targeting list to strike Houthi centers and assassinate leaders of the group. They added that the Israeli army is preparing for a qualitative military operation to strike Houthi capabilities.

The sources revealed an assassination attempt targeting the Chief of Staff of the Houthis, Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Rumaihi, while he was having a meal with senior officials, but the operation failed at the last moment.

Since November 2023, the Houthis have been launching attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea.

The United States and Israel have responded with several attacks and airstrikes on Houthi sites in Yemen.
