حماس توافق على مقترح الهدنة المؤقتة في غزة

Hamas informed Egyptian and Qatari mediators of its approval of their new proposal regarding a ceasefire with Israel in the Gaza Strip, according to informed sources on Monday.

A source from Hamas told the French news agency that the movement delivered its response to the mediators with its approval, along with the Palestinian factions, of the new proposal regarding the ceasefire and without requesting any amendments. A source in the Palestinian factions confirmed that Hamas agreed to the proposal submitted without any modifications.

A Palestinian official earlier reported that the mediators proposed a truce for 60 days that includes the release of prisoners in two batches.

In contrast, an Israeli official stated that Tel Aviv has not yet received Hamas's response to the proposal.

Channels "Al Arabiya" and "Al Hadath" reported from an informed source that Egypt and Qatar will invite U.S. envoy Steve Wittekov to come to Cairo to finalize the Gaza deal.

In the first Israeli reaction, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against accepting a "partial deal," saying: "You do not have a mandate to go for a partial deal without defeating Hamas... If Netanyahu surrenders and stops the war, he will waste a tremendous opportunity."

For their part, families of Israeli prisoners emphasized in a message addressed to U.S. President Donald Trump the need for a "comprehensive deal."
