سلم مجموعة من عناصر حزب العمال الكردستاني أسلحتهم قرب كهف في شمال العراق، اليوم (الجمعة)، في خطوة رمزية وتاريخية بعد قرار التخلي عن حمل السلاح بعد تمرد دام أكثر من أربعة عقود ضد الدولة التركية.
وكشف مصدر مطلع أن الخطوات التالية تتضمن إعادة دمج أعضاء الجماعة في المجتمع بشكل قانوني بالإضافة إلى جهود رأب الصدع في المجتمعات المحلية وتعزيز المصالحة.
من جهته، أعلن نائب رئيس حزب العدالة والتنمية عمر تشيليك، أن أولى الخطوات في إطار عملية تسليم أسلحة حزب العمال الكردستاني قد تحققت، ضمن الجهود المبذولة لتحقيق هدف «تركيا بلا إرهاب».
وقال تشيليك في بيان: تحقيق هدف «تركيا بلا إرهاب» سيفضي إلى تخلص بلدنا من عبء الإرهاب، وسيسهم في بلوغ هدف منطقتنا القريبة بأن تصبح منطقة خالية من الإرهاب، لافتا إلى أن هذا المسار يدار بتوجيه من الرئيس رجب طيب أردوغان.
وأضاف المتحدث باسم الحزب أن مؤسسات الدولة، من دبلوماسية واستخبارات وأجهزة أمنية، تواصل جهودها الشاملة على مختلف الأصعدة من أجل تحقيق هذا الهدف. واعتبر أنه تم تجاوز عتبة حرجة في هذه المرحلة، ويتعين الآن استكمال عملية تسليم السلاح، وإنهاء جميع فروع حزب العمال الكردستاني وهياكله غير القانونية.
فيما أكد مسؤول تركي كبير أن نزع سلاح حزب العمال يمثل «نقطة تحول لا رجوع عنها» في عملية السلام مع أنقرة وفرصة لبناء مستقبل خال من الإرهاب، مضيفا أن أنقرة ستدعم نزع السلاح والاستقرار والمصالحة الدائمة في المنطقة.
وقال المسؤول إن تسليم الأسلحة جزء ثالث من المراحل الخمس لعملية السلام الأوسع نطاقا التي تركز على نزع سلاح حزب العمال الكردستاني وحل الجماعة.
A group of members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) handed over their weapons near a cave in northern Iraq today (Friday) in a symbolic and historic step following the decision to abandon armed struggle after a rebellion that lasted more than four decades against the Turkish state.
A knowledgeable source revealed that the next steps include the legal reintegration of the group's members into society, as well as efforts to mend divisions in local communities and promote reconciliation.
For his part, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party, Omar Celik, announced that the first steps in the framework of the PKK's weapon handover process have been achieved, as part of the efforts to achieve the goal of a "terrorism-free Turkey."
Celik stated in a statement: Achieving the goal of a "terrorism-free Turkey" will lead to our country freeing itself from the burden of terrorism and will contribute to the goal of our region becoming a terrorism-free zone, noting that this path is being managed under the guidance of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The party's spokesperson added that state institutions, including diplomacy, intelligence, and security agencies, continue their comprehensive efforts on various fronts to achieve this goal. He considered that a critical threshold has been surpassed at this stage, and the process of weapon handover must now be completed, along with the dismantling of all branches of the PKK and its illegal structures.
Meanwhile, a senior Turkish official confirmed that the disarmament of the PKK represents a "point of no return" in the peace process with Ankara and an opportunity to build a future free from terrorism, adding that Ankara will support disarmament, stability, and lasting reconciliation in the region.
The official stated that the handover of weapons is the third part of the five stages of the broader peace process that focuses on the disarmament of the PKK and the resolution of the group.
