في حين أعلنت هيئة المنافسة التركية فرض غرامة إدارية بقيمة 355 مليون ليرة (8.87 مليون دولار) على شركة قوقل لعدم امتثالها للالتزامات التنظيمية وانتهاك اللوائح خلال الامتثال لتحقيق سابق، أعفى الرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان اليوم (الخميس) رئيس دائرة الاتصالات في الرئاسة فخر الدين ألتون من منصبه الذي شغله لفترة طويلة.
وفي خطوة وصفت بـ«المفاجئة»، أظهر مرسوم نشر في الجريدة الرسمية، اليوم أن أردوغان أعفى ألتون من منصبه بدائرة الاتصال في الرئاسة وعينه رئيسا لمؤسسة حقوق الإنسان والمساواة، فيما عين نائب وزير الخارجية برهان الدين دوران خلفاً لألتون في رئاسة دائرة الاتصال.وترأس ألتون دائرة الاتصالات في الرئاسة التركية منذ عام 2018، ويعد من أبرز المفكرين الأيديولوجيين، ويرفع تقاريره مباشرة إلى الرئيس التركي، وتتولى الدائرة مسؤولية أعمال الإعلام والعلاقات العامة للحكومة، غير أن منتقدين يتهمون ألتون، الذي وُلد في ألمانيا، بقمع وسائل الإعلام المستقلة في تركيا وتحويل وسائل الإعلام الحكومية إلى أجهزة دعائية.يذكر أن دوران الذي عين خلفاً لألتون كان المدير السابق لمركز أبحاث «سيتا»، المقرب من حزب العدالة والتنمية الحاكم بقيادة الرئيس أردوغان.

Altun has headed the Communications Directorate at the Turkish presidency since 2018 and is considered one of the prominent ideological thinkers, reporting directly to the Turkish president. The directorate is responsible for the government's media and public relations activities; however, critics accuse Altun, who was born in Germany, of suppressing independent media in Turkey and turning government media into propaganda tools. It is noteworthy that Duran, who was appointed as Altun's successor, was the former director of the SETA research center, which is close to the ruling Justice and Development Party led by President Erdoğan.
