توقع مصدر في وزارة الخارجية التركية اليوم (الخميس) حضور وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي اجتماعاً لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي في إسطنبول (السبت)، في الوقت الذي يدخل الصراع بين إسرائيل وإيران يومه السابع، بحسب وسائل إعلام غربية.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء التركية عن وزارة الخارجية تأكيداتها أن إسطنبول ستستضيف اجتماع الدورة الـ51 لمجلس وزراء خارجية الدول الأعضاء بمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي، برئاسة وزير الخارجية التركي هاكان فيدان يومي السبت والأحد القادمين، مبينة أنه من المتوقع أن يحضر أكثر من 40 وزير خارجية إلى إسطنبول للمشاركة في الاجتماع الذي يُعقد في فترة حرجة جراء العدوان الإسرائيلي على إيران.
وقال وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي اليوم (الخميس)، إنه سيعقد لقاءً مع وفد من الاتحاد الأوروبي في جنيف، (الجمعة)، في وقت تحتدم فيه الحرب بين إسرائيل وإيران وتدخل يومها السابع.
وكان مصدر دبلوماسي ألماني قال أمس إن وزراء خارجية ألمانيا وفرنسا وبريطانيا يعتزمون إجراء محادثات نووية مع نظيرهم الإيراني عباس عراقجي (الجمعة) في جنيف، مؤكداً أن الوزراء سيلتقون أولاً مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية بالاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس في القنصلية الألمانية بجنيف قبل عقد اجتماع مشترك مع وزير الخارجية الإيراني.
ونقلت وسائل إعلام غربية عن المصدر قوله إن الخطة التي تم الاتفاق عليها مع الولايات المتحدة تهدف إلى إقناع الجانب الإيراني بتقديم ضمانات قاطعة بأنه سيستخدم برنامجه النووي للأغراض المدنية فقط.وأشار المصدر إلى أن المحادثات سيتبعها إجراء حوار على مستوى الخبراء.ويتزامن ذلك مع عقد مجلس الأمن الدولي اجتماعاً جديداً (الجمعة) لمناقشة النزاع بين إسرائيل وإيران وإمكانية الحل الدبلوماسي.من جهة أخرى، وضع رئيس الوزراء البريطاني كير ستارمر حكومته في حالة تأهب تحسباً لهجوم أمريكي على إيران، بحسب ما ذكرت «فاينانشال تايمز»، التي نقلت عن مسؤولين بريطانيين قولهما إن الوضع خطير ومتقلب.وأشار المسؤولون إلى أن استخدام واشنطن قاعدة دييغو غارسيا يُقرب بريطانيا من الصراع.
A source in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs expected today (Thursday) that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will attend a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul (Saturday), as the conflict between Israel and Iran enters its seventh day, according to Western media.
The Turkish news agency reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Istanbul will host the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, on Saturday and Sunday. It indicated that more than 40 foreign ministers are expected to attend the meeting, which is being held during a critical period due to the Israeli aggression against Iran.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated today (Thursday) that he will hold a meeting with a delegation from the European Union in Geneva (Friday), as the war between Israel and Iran intensifies and enters its seventh day.
A German diplomatic source said yesterday that the foreign ministers of Germany, France, and Britain intend to hold nuclear talks with their Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi (Friday) in Geneva, confirming that the ministers will first meet with the EU's foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, at the German consulate in Geneva before holding a joint meeting with the Iranian foreign minister.
Western media reported the source as saying that the plan agreed upon with the United States aims to convince the Iranian side to provide firm guarantees that it will use its nuclear program solely for civilian purposes. The source noted that the talks will be followed by expert-level dialogue. This coincides with the United Nations Security Council holding a new meeting (Friday) to discuss the conflict between Israel and Iran and the possibility of a diplomatic solution. On another note, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has put his government on alert in anticipation of a U.S. attack on Iran, according to the "Financial Times," which quoted British officials as saying that the situation is serious and volatile. The officials pointed out that the use of Diego Garcia by Washington brings Britain closer to the conflict.
