Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian stated that Iran's legitimate and strong response will make Israel regret its actions. In a speech today (Friday), just hours after the Israeli attack, he said: "We witnessed an Israeli aggression last night targeting Tehran and several other cities in the country, resulting in the deaths of a number of children and women, as well as a group of innocent citizens, alongside military leaders and nuclear scientists."
He emphasized that the Iranian people and the country's officials will not remain silent in the face of this crime, and that the legitimate and strong response of the Islamic Republic of Iran will make the enemy regret its actions.
Bezhakian called on the noble and resilient Iranian people to maintain their unity, cohesion, and solidarity, and not to pay attention to the rumors or misleading news propagated by the enemy as part of its psychological warfare, and to stand by the officials and support them, in order to empower the country to overcome this phase with greater strength.
The Iranian president assured the people that the government will continue with all its energy and efforts to serve the dear nation, and that there will be no disruption in the course of public life.
He called for unity, saying: "Today, the Iranian people need more than ever to come together, trust one another, and unite in understanding. With the help of Almighty God, and with this national spirit, a solid, wise, and strong response will come to Israel, and the Iranian people will emerge from this difficult test with their heads held high and with dignity, under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces."
Iran considered the Israeli attack on its military and nuclear facilities as a "declaration of war," according to what was published on the "X" platform.
It stated that the Israeli attacks on its military and nuclear facilities on Friday are a "declaration of war," and called on the United Nations Security Council to take action. In a message to the United Nations, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described the attack as a "declaration of war," and urged the "Security Council to act immediately."
