فيما أعلنت إيران مقتل قائد «الحرس الثوري» الإيراني حسين سلامي في غارة إسرائيلية على طهران فجر اليوم (الجمعة)، أكدت في وقت لاحق مقتل اللواء غلام علي رشيد قائد مقر «خاتم الأنبياء» للدفاع الجوي.
وأكد التلفزيون الإيراني مقتل العالمين النوويين فريدون عباسي الرئيس السابق لمنظمة الطاقة الذرية الإيرانية، والدكتور محمد مهدي طهرانجي.
كما أعلن التلفزيون الإيراني الرسمي مقتل رئيس أركان الجيش محمد باقري في الضربات الإسرائيلية.
وقالت وكالة الأنباء الإيرانية «إرنا»، إن باقري «على قيد الحياة ويوجد في غرفة قيادة الحرب».
ورجح مسؤول عسكري إسرائيلي مقتل أعضاء في هيئة الأركان العامة الإيرانية، بما في ذلك قائد الأركان، وعدد من كبار العلماء النوويين. التلفزيون الإيراني الرسمي أعلن أن مقر الحرس الثوري في طهران تعرض لقصف إسرائيلي، وبث لقطات تظهر حرائق ودخانا في مقر قيادته.
وكانت إسرائيل شنت فجر اليوم (الجمعة) عدة ضربات على إيران، وأعلنت حالة الاستنفار تحسباً لأي رد من طهران.
وأفادت وسائل إعلام إيرانية بورود أنباء عن سقوط عدد من القتلى، بينهم أطفال، في القصف الإسرائيلي على طهران.
وتناقلت وسائل إعلام إيرانية فيديوهات لمباني سكنية مشتعلة وانفجارات متعددة قرب منشأة نطنز النووية.
وقال التلفزيون الإيراني الرسمي إن «أنظمة الدفاع الجوي في حالة تأهب قصوى»، بينما تم تعليق جميع الرحلات الجوية في مطار طهران.
في سياق متصل، قال مسؤول إيراني كبير لوكالة «رويترز» إن القيادة الإيرانية دعت لاجتماع أمني رفيع المستوى.
من جانبه، أكد رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو على أن العملية الإسرائيلية استهدفت علماء نوويين إيرانيين بارزين يعملون على تصنيع قنبلة نووية إيرانية، مضيفا: «ضربنا قلب برنامج الصواريخ البالستية الإيراني»، وزعم أن «إيران خصبت يورانيوم يكفي لصنع 9 قنابل نووية».
وأوضح أن «هذه العملية ستلحق الضرر بالبنية التحتية النووية الإيرانية وقدراتها العسكرية، ومصانع الصواريخ البالستية»، مشيرًا إلى أن هذه العملية ستستمر لأيام.
من جهته، أكد وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس أن تل أبيب شنّت ما أسماها «ضربة وقائية» ضد إيران. كما أعلن حالة الاستنفار في الجبهة الداخلية في جميع أنحاء إسرائيل.
While Iran announced the death of the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hussein Salami, in an Israeli airstrike on Tehran early today (Friday), it later confirmed the death of Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, commander of the "Khatam al-Anbiya" air defense headquarters.
The Iranian television confirmed the death of two nuclear scientists, Fereydoun Abbasi, the former head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, and Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Tehranji.
The official Iranian television also announced the death of Chief of Staff Mohammad Baqeri in the Israeli strikes.
The Iranian news agency "IRNA" reported that Baqeri "is alive and is in the war command room".
An Israeli military official suggested that members of the Iranian General Staff were killed, including the Chief of Staff and several senior nuclear scientists. The official Iranian television announced that the Revolutionary Guard headquarters in Tehran was targeted by an Israeli bombardment, broadcasting footage showing fires and smoke at its command center.
Israel launched several strikes on Iran early today (Friday) and declared a state of alert in anticipation of any response from Tehran.
Iranian media reported news of several casualties, including children, in the Israeli bombardment of Tehran.
Iranian media circulated videos of burning residential buildings and multiple explosions near the Natanz nuclear facility.
The official Iranian television stated that "the air defense systems are on high alert," while all flights at Tehran Airport were suspended.
In a related context, a senior Iranian official told Reuters that the Iranian leadership called for a high-level security meeting.
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the Israeli operation targeted prominent Iranian nuclear scientists working on manufacturing an Iranian nuclear bomb, adding: "We struck at the heart of the Iranian ballistic missile program," and claimed that "Iran has enriched uranium sufficient to make 9 nuclear bombs".
He explained that "this operation will damage the Iranian nuclear infrastructure and military capabilities, and ballistic missile factories," noting that this operation will continue for days.
For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed that Tel Aviv launched what he termed a "preventive strike" against Iran. He also declared a state of alert on the home front throughout Israel.
