In a notable development, American billionaire businessman Elon Musk expressed regret over some of the stances he took against President Donald Trump.
He wrote in a tweet on his X account today (Wednesday), saying: "I regret some of my posts about President Trump last week." Musk admitted that he crossed the line and went too far on that matter.
The American president confirmed two days ago that his relationship with the Tesla chief was good, saying, "I wish him well," to which Musk responded to one of the users who shared a video of Trump with an emoji symbolizing "heart."
The fierce disagreement between the former allies erupted last Thursday when the owner of the X platform launched sharp criticisms of the budget proposal that Trump described as wonderful.
The two men exchanged harsh criticisms, reaching the point where the American president accused Musk of madness and drug use, while the CEO of SpaceX claimed that without his support in the presidential elections, Trump would not have won.
The verbal war ignited after Musk condemned the massive budget bill that Trump is seeking to pass in Congress, describing it as "big, beautiful, and wonderful."
Elon Musk considered this proposal to be "huge, disgraceful, and an abomination that provokes disgust."
Interestingly, the public dispute came about a week after the American president held a farewell party for Musk in the Oval Office as his term as head of the Efficiency Agency, tasked with reducing federal spending, came to an end.
