تصاعدت أزمة الاحتجاجات في لوس أنجليس، بعد أن هدد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بنشر قوات المارينز لمواجهة الاحتجاجات الصاخبة، وأعلن حاكم كاليفورنيا غافين نيوسوم، اليوم (الإثنين)، أنه سيُقاضي ترمب بسبب قراره إرسال الحرس الوطني إلى وسط الاحتجاجات المناهضة لسياسة الهجرة.
وكتب الحاكم الديمقراطي للمدينة عبر منشور في موقع التواصل الاجتماعي: «هذا بالضبط ما أراده ترمب. أشعل فتيل الأزمة، ثم حاول بشكل غير قانوني إضفاء طابع فيدرالي على الحرس الوطني. الأمر الذي وقّعه لا يقتصر على كاليفورنيا فحسب، بل سيمنحه القدرة على دخول أي ولاية والقيام بالشيء نفسه. نحن سنقاضيه».
وقال خلال مقابلة مع قناة «إم إس إن بي س»: إن ضباط إنفاذ قوانين الهجرة والجمارك الأمريكية لم ينسقوا إجراءاتهم معه. وطالب بإلغاء أمر نشر قوات الحرس، بعد أن تحولت الاشتباكات إلى حرب شوارع بين عناصر الشرطة والمحتجين، وأصيب شرطيان تعرضا للدهس بدراجة نارية خلال الاحتجاجات. وتواصلت الاحتجاجات، أمس، وأعلنت الشرطة اعتقال 56 شخصاً.
وتحولت حملة إنفاذ قوانين الهجرة والجمارك الأمريكية للكشف عن المهاجرين غير الشرعيين في وسط لوس أنجليس يوم 7 يونيو إلى مواجهات مع المحتجين.
وهدد حاكم كاليفورنيا بأن الولاية قد تمتنع عن دفع الضرائب الفيدرالية رداً على التخفيضات المحتملة في التمويل الفيدرالي من إدارة ترمب.
وأعلنت الشرطة في بيان نشر على منصة «إكس»: حاول سائقا دراجتين ناريتين اختراق الحواجز عند تقاطع ألاميدا وتيمبل. وأصيب شرطيان جراء الاصطدام، وتم اعتقال السائقين، ويتم تقديم الإسعافات للشرطيين المصابين في المكان. وأفادت بأن المحتجين أغلقوا الطرق وأشعلوا النيران في السيارات. وتعمل فرق الإطفاء على الوصول إلى موقع الحريق. واعترفت السلطات بأن هذه الاحتجاجات هي تجمع غير مرخص. وتُعتبر كاليفورنيا معقلاً تقليدياً للحزب الديمقراطي، وقد انتقدها ترمب مراراً.
وكانت إدارة ترمب قد ألغت سابقاً مشاريع لمنع الفيضانات بقيمة 126.4 مليون دولار، وانتقدت إجراءات حكومة كاليفورنيا في مكافحة حرائق الغابات.
ووعد ترمب في أول خطاب له رئيساً للولايات المتحدة رقم 47 في يوم تنصيبه في 20 يناير، بوقف تدفق المهاجرين غير الشرعيين فوراً وبدء عملية ترحيل الملايين منهم. وأعلن حالة الطوارئ الوطنية بسبب الوضع على الحدود الجنوبية للولايات المتحدة.

Two officers were injured in the collision, and the riders were arrested, with the injured officers receiving first aid on-site. It was reported that protesters blocked roads and set vehicles on fire. Fire crews are working to reach the fire site. Authorities acknowledged that these protests are an unauthorized gathering. California is traditionally a stronghold for the Democratic Party, which Trump has repeatedly criticized.
