أعلن مدير مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي الأمريكي (إف بي آي) الأحد أن الوكالة تحقق في «هجوم إرهابي مستهدف» في بولدر بولاية كولورادو، بعد وقوع هجوم على مظاهرة مؤيدة لإسرائيل في المدينة.
وقال مدير «إف بي آي» كاش باتيل عبر منصة «إكس»: «نحن على علم بهجوم إرهابي مستهدف في بولدر بولاية كولورادو ونحقق فيه بشكل كامل».
وأضاف: «عناصرنا وقوات إنفاذ القانون المحلية موجودة في الموقع، وسوف نشارك التحديثات مع توفر المزيد من المعلومات».
وكشفت شرطة ولاية كولورادو الأمريكية، تفاصيل عن المشتبه به في هجوم وقع قرب تظاهرة مؤيدة لإسرائيل في بولدر في منطقة بيرل ستريت مول، وهي منطقة تسوق شهيرة في المدينة.
وأوضحت أن المشتبه به في هجوم بولدر يدعى «محمد سليمان» ويبلغ 45 عاماً، ألقى قنابل مولوتوف على متظاهرين مؤيدين لإسرائيل.
وقالت إن التحقيق جار في الهجوم باعتباره عملا إرهابيا، مضيفة «لا نعتقد أن هناك متهمين آخرين في الهجوم».
من جانبه، قال مسؤول أمريكي: «أطلعنا الرئيس دونالد ترمب على التطورات في كولورادو».
ووفقا لشهادات المارة، أقدم المهاجم على إلقاء زجاجات حارقة على المشاركين في مسيرة تضامنية لإحياء ذكرى الرهائن الإسرائيليين المحتجزين في قطاع غزة.
في الأثناء، قالت شرطة بولدر على منصة «إكس» إن عناصرها «يستجيبون لتقرير عن هجوم في شارعَي الثالث عشر وبيرل» في قلب المدينة «مع تقارير عن عدة الضحايا». وأضافت «يرجى تجنب المنطقة».
من جهتها، قالت «رابطة مكافحة التشهير»، وهي مجموعة ناشطة يهودية، على منصة «إكس» إنها «على علم بتقارير عن هجوم في فعالية في بولدر».
وأضافت أن هذه الفعالية هي «لقاء أسبوعي لأعضاء الجالية اليهودية للركض/المشي دعماً للرهائن» الذين احتُجزوا خلال الهجوم غير المسبوق الذي شنته «حماس» على إسرائيل في 7 أكتوبر 2023 ونُقلوا إلى غزة.
ونقلت وسائل إعلام محلية عن شهود عيان قولهم إن رجلاً ألقى شيئاً يشبه زجاجة حارقة بدائية الصنع على مجموعة من المتظاهرين المؤيدين لإسرائيل.
The Director of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced on Sunday that the agency is investigating a "targeted terrorist attack" in Boulder, Colorado, following an attack on a pro-Israel demonstration in the city.
FBI Director Kash Patel stated on the platform "X": "We are aware of a targeted terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado, and we are fully investigating it."
He added: "Our personnel and local law enforcement are on the scene, and we will share updates as more information becomes available."
The Colorado State Police revealed details about the suspect in the attack that occurred near a pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder at the Pearl Street Mall, a popular shopping area in the city.
They clarified that the suspect in the Boulder attack is named "Mohammed Suleiman," 45 years old, who threw Molotov cocktails at pro-Israel demonstrators.
They stated that the investigation into the attack is being treated as a terrorist act, adding, "We do not believe there are other suspects in the attack."
For his part, an American official said: "We have briefed President Donald Trump on the developments in Colorado."
According to eyewitness accounts, the attacker threw incendiary bottles at participants in a solidarity march to commemorate the Israeli hostages held in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Boulder Police stated on the platform "X" that their officers "are responding to a report of an attack at 13th and Pearl Streets" in the heart of the city "with reports of multiple victims." They added, "Please avoid the area."
For its part, the "Anti-Defamation League," a Jewish activist group, stated on the platform "X" that it is "aware of reports of an attack at an event in Boulder."
They added that this event is a "weekly gathering for members of the Jewish community to run/walk in support of the hostages" who were taken during the unprecedented attack launched by "Hamas" on Israel on October 7, 2023, and were taken to Gaza.
Local media reported eyewitnesses saying that a man threw something resembling a makeshift incendiary bottle at a group of pro-Israel demonstrators.
