تستضيف المملكة مطلع ديسمبر القادم، المؤتمر الدولي للتأهب والاستجابة للطوارئ النووية والإشعاعية (EPR2025)، وتنظمه هيئة الرقابة النووية والإشعاعية، بالتعاون مع الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية (IAEA)، تحت شعار: (بناء المستقبل في عالم متطور)، وذلك خلال الفترة من 1 إلى 4 ديسمبر 2025 في مدينة الرياض.
ويهدف المؤتمر إلى تعزيز التعاون الدولي وتبادل الخبرات والممارسات الفضلى، وتطوير القدرات الوطنية في مجالات التأهب والاستجابة للطوارئ النووية والإشعاعية، ومناقشة التحديات التقنية والتنظيمية.
وأكدت هيئة الرقابة النووية والإشعاعية استكمال الاستعدادات لانطلاق فعاليات المؤتمر، الذي يستعرض أحدث التطورات والابتكارات العلمية والحلول في الكشف والحماية في هذا المجال، بما يسهم في تطوير قدرات الدول الأعضاء وتعزيز استدامة منظومات الأمان النووي على المستويين الوطني والدولي، وتحديد أولويات العمل المستقبلية لتطوير منظومات الطوارئ وفقًا للمتغيرات العالمية المتسارعة.
يأتي هذا المؤتمر تأكيدًا على حرص المملكة واهتمامها بمجالات الأمان والأمن النوويين والإشعاعيين، وتعزيز مكانتها الدولية في هذا الجانب، ودعمها المتواصل للجهود العالمية الرامية إلى رفع مستوى الجاهزية والاستجابة للطوارئ النووية والإشعاعية، لحماية الإنسان والبيئة والممتلكات وفقًا لأعلى المعايير الدولية.
The Kingdom will host the International Conference on Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR2025) at the beginning of December 2025. The conference is organized by the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), under the slogan: "Building the Future in a Developing World." It will take place from December 1 to 4, 2025, in Riyadh.
The conference aims to enhance international cooperation and the exchange of experiences and best practices, develop national capacities in the fields of nuclear and radiological emergency preparedness and response, and discuss technical and organizational challenges.
The Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority confirmed the completion of preparations for the conference, which will showcase the latest developments, scientific innovations, and solutions in detection and protection in this field, contributing to the development of member states' capabilities and enhancing the sustainability of nuclear safety systems at both national and international levels, as well as identifying future work priorities for developing emergency systems in line with rapidly changing global variables.
This conference reaffirms the Kingdom's commitment and interest in nuclear and radiological safety and security, enhancing its international standing in this regard, and its continuous support for global efforts aimed at improving readiness and response to nuclear and radiological emergencies, to protect humans, the environment, and property according to the highest international standards.
