أكد رئيس هيئة الرقابة ومكافحة الفساد مازن بن إبراهيم الكهموس أن المملكة العربية السعودية منذ إطلاق رؤية 2030، تبنّت نهجاً إستراتيجياً لمكافحة الجرائم العابرة للحدود، وفي مقدمتها جرائم الفساد، إدراكاً لما تمثله من تهديد للتنمية المستدامة والحوكمة الرشيدة، وقد ركّزت على بناء منظومة مؤسسية متكاملة تُعزّز النزاهة والشفافية، وتُساهم في تعزيز التعاون الدولي في هذا المجال.
وأضاف خلال ترؤسه أمس وفد المملكة المشارك في الاجتماع الوزاري الرابع لمكافحة الفساد لدول مجموعة العشرين المنعقد في مدينة مبومالانجا بجمهورية جنوب أفريقيا: تدرك المملكة الدور المحوري الذي تضطلع به مجموعة عمل مكافحة الفساد في تعزيز التدابير الرامية إلى مكافحة الفساد لبناء مجتمع يقوم على العدالة والازدهار، مشيرا إلى أن تأسيس شبكة العمليات العالمية لسلطات إنفاذ القانون المعنية بمكافحة الفساد (GlobE Network) يُعدّ من أبرز منجزات المجموعة، لما أسهمت به من تعزيز للتعاون الدولي وتيسير لاسترداد الأصول المنهوبة، معربا عن تطلعاته بأن تواصل دول مجموعة العشرين دعمها الفاعل لتطوير الشبكة ودعم أهدافها وتحقيق الغايات التي أُنشئت من أجلها، لافتا إلى التحديات المتمثلة في غياب أدوات دقيقة وموضوعية لقياس أثر الجهود الرامية إلى مكافحة الفساد، وتقديم توصيات عملية لتطوير هذه الأدوات، موضحا بأن المملكة تعاونت مع عدد من المنظمات الدولية لتطوير أدوات تُمكّن الدول من تقييم فاعلية تدابير مكافحة الفساد وتعزيز النزاهة.
The Chairman of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, Mazen bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since the launch of Vision 2030, has adopted a strategic approach to combat transnational crimes, foremost among them corruption crimes, recognizing the threat they pose to sustainable development and good governance. The Kingdom has focused on building an integrated institutional system that enhances integrity and transparency and contributes to strengthening international cooperation in this field.
He added, during his chairing of the Saudi delegation participating in the fourth G20 Ministerial Meeting on Anti-Corruption held in Mbombela, South Africa, that the Kingdom recognizes the pivotal role played by the Anti-Corruption Working Group in promoting measures aimed at combating corruption to build a society based on justice and prosperity. He pointed out that the establishment of the Global Operations Network for Law Enforcement Authorities concerned with combating corruption (GlobE Network) is one of the group's most significant achievements, as it has contributed to enhancing international cooperation and facilitating the recovery of stolen assets. He expressed his hopes that the G20 countries would continue their active support for the development of the network, support its objectives, and achieve the goals for which it was established, noting the challenges represented by the lack of precise and objective tools to measure the impact of anti-corruption efforts and to provide practical recommendations for developing these tools. He explained that the Kingdom has collaborated with several international organizations to develop tools that enable countries to assess the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures and enhance integrity.
