اتفقت المملكة وباكستان على إطلاق إطار تعاون اقتصادي بين البلدين، وذلك استناداً على المصالح الاقتصادية المشتركة للبلدين، وتأكيداً لرغبتهما المتبادلة في تعزيز العلاقات التجارية والاستثمارية بما يخدم مصالحهما المشتركة.
جاء ذلك في بيان مشترك صدر أمس، وجاء فيه أنه انطلاقاً من عمق الشراكة التاريخية بين المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية باكستان الإسلامية، الممتدة لنحو ثمانية عقود، وبناءً على روابط الأخوة الوثيقة والتضامن الإسلامي اللذين يجمعان قيادة البلدين، فقد اتفق ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز ورئيس وزراء جمهورية باكستان الإسلامية محمد شهباز شريف، خلال اللقاء المنعقد بينهما في الرياض يوم الاثنين 5 جمادى الأولى 1447هـ الموافق 27 أكتوبر 2025م على إطلاق إطار تعاون اقتصادي بين المملكة العربية السعودية وجمهورية باكستان الإسلامية، استناداً على المصالح الاقتصادية المشتركة للبلدين، وتأكيداً على رغبتهما المتبادلة في تعزيز العلاقات التجارية والاستثمارية بما يخدم مصالحهما المشتركة.
ويشمل الإطار بحث عدد من المشاريع النوعية في المجالات الاقتصادية والتجارية والاستثمارية والتنموية التي ستسهم في دعم التعاون بين حكومة البلدين، وتعزيز الدور المحوري للقطاع الخاص، وزيادة التبادل التجاري بين البلدين، وذلك في القطاعات ذات الأولوية؛ بما فيها قطاعات الطاقة والصناعة والتعدين وتقنية المعلومات والسياحة والزراعة والأمن الغذائي، ويعمل الجانبان، حالياً، على دراسة عددٍ من المشاريع الاقتصادية المشتركة، بما في ذلك توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين الجانبين لمشروع الربط الكهربائي بين المملكة وباكستان، بالإضافة إلى توقيع مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في مجال الطاقة بين البلدين.
ويأتي هذا الإطار امتداداً لسعي البلدين إلى ترسيخ أواصر العلاقات الأخوية بينهما، وتأكيداً على رؤيتهما المشتركة نحو بناء شراكة مستدامة في مختلف المجالات الاقتصادية والتجارية والاستثمارية بما يحقق تطلعات قادة البلدين وشعبيهما الشقيقين، ويخدم مصالحهما المشتركة، كما يتطلع قادة البلدين إلى عقد اجتماع مجلس التنسيق الأعلى السعودي - الباكستاني.
The Kingdom and Pakistan have agreed to launch a framework for economic cooperation between the two countries, based on their shared economic interests and reaffirming their mutual desire to enhance trade and investment relations in a way that serves their common interests.
This was stated in a joint statement issued yesterday, which noted that based on the depth of the historical partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, extending for nearly eight decades, and building on the close bonds of brotherhood and Islamic solidarity that unite the leadership of both countries, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif agreed during their meeting in Riyadh on Monday, 5 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to October 27, 2025, to launch a framework for economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, based on their shared economic interests and reaffirming their mutual desire to enhance trade and investment relations in a way that serves their common interests.
The framework includes the exploration of several qualitative projects in the economic, commercial, investment, and developmental fields that will contribute to supporting cooperation between the governments of the two countries, enhancing the pivotal role of the private sector, and increasing trade exchange between the two countries in priority sectors, including energy, industry, mining, information technology, tourism, agriculture, and food security. Currently, both sides are studying several joint economic projects, including signing a memorandum of understanding for the electricity interconnection project between the Kingdom and Pakistan, in addition to signing a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of energy between the two countries.
This framework comes as an extension of the two countries' efforts to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between them and reaffirms their shared vision towards building a sustainable partnership in various economic, commercial, and investment fields that meets the aspirations of the leaders of both countries and their brotherly peoples, serving their common interests. The leaders of both countries also look forward to holding a meeting of the Saudi-Pakistani Supreme Coordination Council.
