أعلنت الرئاسة السورية أن الرئيس أحمد الشرع سيصل الرياض، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، في زيارة عمل، يلتقي خلالها ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، ويشارك في النسخة التاسعة من مؤتمر مبادرة مستقبل الاستثمار.
وبحسب ما ذكرته مديرية الإعلام في رئاسة الجمهورية السورية لوكالة «سانا»، فإن الرئيس الشرع، سيلتقي خلال الزيارة الأمير محمد بن سلمان، لبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك بين البلدين الشقيقين، وخصوصاً فيما يتعلق بمجالات الاستثمار والتعاون الاقتصادي، ومناقشة المستجدات الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وفد سوري رفيع المستوى
ويلقي الرئيس الشرع، كلمة في مؤتمر مبادرة مستقبل الاستثمار المنعقد في العاصمة السعودية الرياض، ويجتمع مع كبرى الشركات الاستثمارية والمؤسسات الاقتصادية العالمية.
ويرافق الرئيس الشرع إلى المؤتمر وفد سوري رفيع المستوى، يضم وزراء وكبار المسؤولين والخبراء الوطنيين في خطوة تمثّل دخول سورية الرسمي إلى النهضة الاقتصادية الإقليمية.
ويجري الوفد السوري الذي توجّه أمس، إلى السعودية، لقاءات مع كبار المستثمرين العالميين والشركات الرائدة والمؤسسات المالية الكبرى لبناء مسارات استثمارية في قطاعات البنية التحتية والإسكان والطاقة والصحة والتكنولوجيا والصناعات المستدامة.
إعادة إعمار سورية
واستضافت الرياض في مايو الماضي، اجتماعاً تاريخياً بين ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان، والرئيس أحمد الشرع، والرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، الذي أشاد بالرئيس السوري، وقال إن واشنطن سترفع جميع العقوبات المفروضة على سورية للمساعدة في منح البلاد فرصة لإعادة الإعمار.
وقدر البنك الدولي تكلفة إعادة الإعمار بنحو 216 مليار دولار. ومن المقرر أن يخاطب الشرع، الذي حث القوى العالمية مراراً على الإسهام في إعادة الإعمار، مجموعة من الشخصيات الاقتصادية والسياسية البارزة في المؤتمر.
The Syrian presidency announced that President Ahmad al-Shara will arrive in Riyadh today (Tuesday) for a working visit, during which he will meet with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and participate in the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative conference.
According to the Syrian presidency's media directorate, as reported to the SANA news agency, President al-Shara will meet during the visit with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries, particularly in the fields of investment and economic cooperation, and to discuss regional and international developments of mutual interest.
High-Level Syrian Delegation
President al-Shara will deliver a speech at the Future Investment Initiative conference held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, and will meet with major investment companies and global economic institutions.
Accompanying President al-Shara to the conference is a high-level Syrian delegation that includes ministers, senior officials, and national experts in a move that represents Syria's official entry into the regional economic renaissance.
The Syrian delegation, which headed to Saudi Arabia yesterday, is conducting meetings with major global investors, leading companies, and major financial institutions to build investment pathways in the sectors of infrastructure, housing, energy, health, technology, and sustainable industries.
Reconstruction of Syria
Riyadh hosted a historic meeting last May between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, President Ahmad al-Shara, and U.S. President Donald Trump, who praised the Syrian president and stated that Washington would lift all sanctions imposed on Syria to help give the country a chance for reconstruction.
The World Bank estimated the cost of reconstruction at around $216 billion. President al-Shara, who has repeatedly urged global powers to contribute to the reconstruction efforts, is set to address a group of prominent economic and political figures at the conference.
