تألّق المخرج والمنتج السينمائي السعودي ممدوح سالم في مهرجان جربة السينمائي الدولي بتونس، حيث حظي بتكريم خاص تقديراً لمسيرته الفنية وإسهاماته البارزة في السينما العربية. ويأتي هذا التكريم ضمن فعاليات المهرجان التي ضمّت عروضاً متنوعة للأفلام القصيرة والطويلة، إلى جانب ورش عمل وحوارات مفتوحة مع صناع السينما الشباب.
لحظة التكريم
عبر سالم عن سعادته بهذه المناسبة قائلاً: «في جربة.. جزيرة النور والجمال، أشعر أن السينما تحتفل بنا كما نحتفل بها. هذا التكريم ليس لي وحدي، بل لكل من آمن بالصورة وبقوة الحلم».
وتم خلال الحفل تقديم مجموعة من الأفلام التي تناولت موضوعات اجتماعية وإنسانية وثقافية، بينها أعمال لشباب المبدعين العرب، إلى جانب استعراض لأبرز أعمال سالم التي ساهمت في تعزيز حضور السينما السعودية على الساحة العربية والدولية.
مسيرة حافلة بالإنجازات
يُعد ممدوح سالم من أبرز الشخصيات في صناعة السينما العربية، فقد أخرج وأنتج العديد من الأفلام التي حازت جوائز محلية ودولية، وشارك في مهرجانات دولية. كما أشرف على مشاريع إنتاجية ساهمت في تطوير صناعة السينما السعودية، مبرزاً قدرته على الجمع بين الابتكار الفني والإدارة الإنتاجية، وأسس أول مهرجان سينمائي في السعودية في ٢٠٠٦ بمسمى مهرجان جدة للعروض المرئية.
شهد المهرجان تنظيم حلقات نقاشية وورش عمل حول إنتاج الأفلام وإدارة المشاريع السينمائية، وقدّم سالم نصائح قيّمة للحضور حول كيفية تحويل الأفكار الإبداعية إلى مشاريع ناجحة على أرض الواقع، مؤكداً أهمية الالتزام بالرؤية الفنية والصدق في التعبير السينمائي.

The Saudi filmmaker and producer Mamdouh Salem shone at the International Jerba Film Festival in Tunisia, where he received a special honor in recognition of his artistic career and significant contributions to Arab cinema. Salem expressed his happiness on this occasion, saying: "In Jerba... the island of light and beauty, I feel that cinema is celebrating us as we celebrate it. This honor is not just for me, but for everyone who believed in the image and the power of dreams."
During the ceremony, a collection of films addressing social, humanitarian, and cultural themes was presented, including works by young Arab creators, alongside a showcase of Salem's most notable works that have contributed to enhancing the presence of Saudi cinema on the Arab and international stages.

Mamdouh Salem is considered one of the most prominent figures in the Arab cinema industry, having directed and produced many films that have won local and international awards, and participated in international festivals. He has also supervised production projects that contributed to the development of the Saudi cinema industry, highlighting his ability to combine artistic innovation with production management, and he founded the first film festival in Saudi Arabia in 2006, named the Jeddah Visual Arts Festival.
The festival witnessed the organization of discussion panels and workshops on film production and project management, where Salem provided valuable advice to the audience on how to turn creative ideas into successful projects in reality, emphasizing the importance of commitment to artistic vision and honesty in cinematic expression.
A Recognition Reflecting the Status of Arab Cinema
The festival concluded with the audience appreciating the initiative to honor Salem, considering his artistic achievements a model to be celebrated both Arabically and internationally, reflecting the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of the seventh art.
