The Deputy Minister of Justice, Dr. Najm Al-Zaid, and the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Dr. Abdullah Abu Thnein, launched the unified employment contract; aimed at organizing the contractual relationship between the employer and the worker according to the labor system, and documenting rights and obligations in a way that grants them legal validity.
The unified employment contract comes as part of a series of documented electronic contracts recently announced by the Ministry of Justice, such as the unified lease contract, the vehicle leasing contract, the student registration contract in private schools, the unified contract for attorney fees, and the construction contract for complete projects, which are considered executive documents that contribute to achieving preventive justice and preserving rights; reflecting on reducing the volume of disputes in courts and enhancing the values of justice and transparency.
The contract aims to enhance legal and judicial guarantees for all parties by documenting the employment contract, proving the rights and obligations it contains, and considering it an executive document, especially concerning wages; allowing the worker to claim their rights directly through the execution court, without the need for litigation procedures before the court of first instance.
It is expected that the unified employment contract will achieve tangible positive effects, both at the level of establishments and workers, and on the work environment in general, by enhancing trust and stability in the labor market, and supporting the investment environment in the Kingdom as an attractive environment.
