أطلقت بلدية محافظة بيشة اسم الشاعر الكبير سعد بن جدلان الأكلبي على أحد الشوارع الرئيسة بالمحافظة، تخليدًا لإرثه الأدبي وإسهاماته البارزة في الساحة الشعرية الوطنية، وتقديرًا لمسيرته التي شكّلت علامة فارقة في الشعر النبطي السعودي.
وأوضح رئيس بلدية بيشة المهندس محمد بن فلاح القحطاني أن هذه المبادرة تأتي ضمن جهود البلدية في تسمية الشوارع والمعالم بأسماء رموز وطنية وثقافية تركت أثرًا عظيمًا في المجتمع، مشيرًا إلى أن الشاعر سعد بن جدلان يُعد أحد أبرز شعراء الجزيرة العربية الذين عبّروا بكلماتهم عن مشاعر الوطن والإنسان، وخلّدوا اسمهاءهم في الذاكرة الشعبية.
وأكد القحطاني أن تسمية الشارع باسمه تمثل وفاءً وتقديرًا لعطاءاته، وتُجسّد اهتمام المحافظة بتكريم رموز الأدب والثقافة الذين أسهموا في إثراء الحركة الشعرية والأدبية في المملكة.
The Municipality of Bisha has named one of the main streets in the province after the great poet Saad bin Jadlan Al-Aklabi, in commemoration of his literary legacy and his prominent contributions to the national poetic scene, and in appreciation of his journey that marked a significant milestone in Saudi Nabati poetry.
The Mayor of Bisha, Engineer Mohammed bin Falah Al-Qahtani, explained that this initiative is part of the municipality's efforts to name streets and landmarks after national and cultural figures who have made a significant impact on the community, noting that Poet Saad bin Jadlan is considered one of the most prominent poets of the Arabian Peninsula who expressed the feelings of the homeland and humanity through his words, and immortalized his name in popular memory.
Al-Qahtani affirmed that naming the street after him represents loyalty and appreciation for his contributions, and embodies the province's interest in honoring the symbols of literature and culture who have contributed to enriching the poetic and literary movement in the Kingdom.
