تُبرهن خطة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب لإيقاف الحرب في قطاع غزة، التي وافقت عليها حركة حماس، وما تضمنته من بنود، على مدى الجهد السعودي الذي بُذل على المستويين الإقليمي والعالمي من أجل نصرة القضية الفلسطينية، ومواجهة إسرائيل في حربها على الفلسطينيين، ما أدى إلى القتل والتشريد والتدمير على مرأى من العالم.
وأكدت السعودية دوماً، من خلال مواقفها وجهودها التي لم تتوقف ويشهد بها القاصي والداني، ضرورة إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، وعدم التهجير، ورفض الاحتلال، وإدخال المساعدات الإنسانية للفلسطينيين في غزة دون شرط أو قيد، وظلت متمسكة بهذه المبادئ ولم تتخل عنها، بل ونجحت في الحصول على تأييد دولي رسمي وشعبي في المحافل الدولية لمواقفها التي أسهمت في إبقاء القضية الفلسطينية حاضرة وبقوة، وتلقى التأييد المطلق على مستوى الدول والشعوب.
ما كان للرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أن يُضمن بنود خطته عدم الاحتلال، وإيقاف التهجير، وإدخال المساعدات، وعدم ضم الضفة الغربية لولا الموقف السعودي الصلب مع القضية الفلسطينية، خصوصاً أن الرئيس الأمريكي يشير إلى أن تطبيق كامل خطته يهيئ لإقامة الدولتين، وهو ما تعمل عليه حالياً ومستقبلاً السعودية بدعم عربي وإسلامي إلى أن يتحقق ذلك كحلم انتظره الفلسطينيون طويلاً.
