The Ministry of Education has set regulations for calculating professional development hours for educational job holders in training courses conducted remotely. The ministry clarified that one hour will be counted for each actual hour of electronic training, provided that the duration of the training program is not less than 6 training hours as a minimum, over at least two days, and that the training topic is in the educational field. The training program must be accredited by the National Institute for Professional Educational Development, with documentation of attendance at the electronic training approved by the Ministry of Education or its affiliated entities, Saudi universities, or entities licensed by the National Institute for Professional Development. The ministry emphasized the necessity of obtaining proof of participation in synchronous training through a certificate or attendance record, or a passing certificate, and for asynchronous training, a passing certificate.

In a different context, male and female students in general education across the three educational stages will enjoy their second school holiday during the first semester of the current academic year on the upcoming (Sunday), which includes administrative and educational staff.
