شددت وزارة الصحة أن صرف الأدوية المقيدة كالمضادات الحيوية وإبر التخسيس دون وصفة طبية يُعد مخالفة لأحكام نظام مزاولة المهن الصحية.
وبينت «الصحة» أنه يحظر على الصيدلي صرف الأدوية المقيدة إلا بناءً على وصفة طبية معتمدة من طبيب مختص، مؤكدة أن المخالفات تُعرّض مرتكبيها للعقوبات النظامية.
وأكدت الوزارة مواصلة تنفيذ حملاتها الرقابية المكثفة على صرف الأدوية الوصفية أو المقيدة بوصفة طبية معتمدة صادرة من طبيب مرخّص، بما في ذلك -على سبيل المثال لا الحصر- أدوية إنقاص الوزن والمضادات الحيوية، انطلاقًا من دورها الرقابي والإشرافي لضمان الامتثال التام للأنظمة واللوائح الصحية المعتمدة في المملكة، وحماية الصحة العامة، وتعزيز الاستخدام الآمن والرشيد للأدوية.
وأكّدت الوزارة أن صرف الأدوية المقيدة دون إشراف طبي يُعرّض المستفيدين لمخاطر صحية جسيمة، قد تشمل مضاعفات حادة أو آثارًا جانبية مزمنة، مشددة على أهمية استشارة الطبيب المختص قبل استخدام أي دواء، وعدم شراء أو تناول الأدوية إلا بوصفة طبية نظامية.
ودعت الوزارة جميع الممارسين الصحيين والمنشآت الصيدلانية إلى الالتزام التام بالتعليمات والضوابط التنظيمية المتعلقة بصرف الأدوية، مؤكدة استمرار الجولات الرقابية الميدانية، وحثّت أفراد المجتمع على الإبلاغ عن أي مخالفات عبر مركز الاتصال الموحد (937)، دعمًا لجهود الرقابة وتعزيزًا لمستوى الالتزام بالأنظمة الصحية.
The Ministry of Health emphasized that dispensing restricted medications such as antibiotics and weight loss injections without a medical prescription is considered a violation of the provisions of the Health Professions Practice System.
The "Health" ministry clarified that pharmacists are prohibited from dispensing restricted medications except based on a medical prescription approved by a specialized physician, stressing that violations expose offenders to legal penalties.
The ministry confirmed its continued implementation of intensive monitoring campaigns on the dispensing of prescription or restricted medications based on an approved prescription issued by a licensed physician, including, but not limited to, weight loss medications and antibiotics, stemming from its regulatory and supervisory role to ensure full compliance with the approved health regulations and laws in the Kingdom, protect public health, and promote the safe and rational use of medications.
The ministry affirmed that dispensing restricted medications without medical supervision exposes beneficiaries to serious health risks, which may include acute complications or chronic side effects, emphasizing the importance of consulting a specialized physician before using any medication and not purchasing or consuming medications without a legal prescription.
The ministry called on all healthcare practitioners and pharmaceutical establishments to fully comply with the instructions and regulatory controls related to dispensing medications, confirming the continuation of field monitoring rounds, and urged community members to report any violations through the unified contact center (937), in support of monitoring efforts and enhancing compliance with health regulations.
