وجه ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، بإطلاق اسم سماحة الشيخ عبدالعزيز بن عبدالله بن محمد آل الشيخ، مفتي عام المملكة ورئيس هيئة كبار العلماء -رحمه الله-، على أحد الشوارع الرئيسة في العاصمة الرياض.
ويأتي التوجيه الكريم تقديراً لمكانة سماحته العلمية وإسهاماته الكبيرة في خدمة الوطن والإسلام والمسلمين، حيث أفنى حياته -رحمه الله- في طلب العلم الشرعي وتعليمه وإرشاد الناس، كما كان لسماحته إسهامات علمية وعملية جليلة كان لها أثر كبير في تعزيز مكانة العلم الشرعي وتعليمه.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has directed that the name of His Eminence Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Sheikh, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom and Chairman of the Senior Scholars Commission - may Allah have mercy on him - be given to one of the main streets in the capital, Riyadh.
This generous directive comes in recognition of His Eminence's scholarly stature and his significant contributions to serving the nation, Islam, and Muslims. He dedicated his life - may Allah have mercy on him - to the pursuit of religious knowledge, teaching it, and guiding people. His Eminence also made notable scientific and practical contributions that had a substantial impact on enhancing the status of religious knowledge and its teaching.
