The Heritage Authority is preparing to organize the "International Restoration Week Exhibition" from October 1 to 5, 2025, in the Jax neighborhood of Diriyah, with the participation of a select group of local and international entities specialized in restoration and the preservation of architectural heritage. The event aims to exchange international experiences and enhance cooperation among various parties in the field of restoration by showcasing the latest practices and techniques used in preserving heritage buildings and sites.

The organization of the exhibition is part of the Heritage Authority's efforts to protect and develop architectural heritage sites in the Kingdom, which number more than 34,000 heritage assets in the National Architectural Heritage Register. The Authority also seeks through the exhibition to raise awareness of the importance of restoration as an integrated process that contributes to preserving heritage sites and historical identity, alongside developing them in a sustainable manner that aligns with contemporary needs.

The exhibition will include keynote panel discussions on the first day, featuring local and international experts to discuss several topics, most notably: "International Efforts in Architectural Heritage Landmarks and Assets," "Sustainable Restoration Methodologies," and "Innovative Technical Solutions in Restoration," which will enrich this international cultural event and effectively contribute to accelerating the pace of development in the heritage sector.

The exhibition will feature interactive practical workshops and side sessions that provide participants with the opportunity to learn about the latest restoration techniques, highlighting restoration technologies and pathways that preserve heritage components through innovative and modern methods.

The exhibition enjoys wide international participation from more than 12 countries, starting from local and international entities, organizations, and companies, ending with the participation of the third sector, in partnership with the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate, the King Abdulaziz Foundation, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, the Asir Development Authority, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Imam Turki Reserve, and the Historic Jeddah Program.

The Heritage Authority confirmed that "International Restoration Week" represents a specialized platform to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences among entities concerned with the restoration of architectural heritage. It also reflects the Kingdom's commitment to developing restoration standards in line with the best global practices and enhances its position in the field of cultural heritage preservation.
