أحبطت هيئة الزكاة والضريبة والجمارك (زاتكا)، 4 محاولات لتهريب أكثر من 261 ألف حبة من مادة «الإمفيتامين» المخدرة، وإحباط 9.8 كيلوغرام من مادة «الشبو»، عثُر عليها مُخبأة في مركبات وإرساليات وردت إلى المملكة عبر مطار الملك عبدالعزيز الدولي وميناء ضباء ومنفذ البطحاء.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي باسم «زاتكا» حمود الحربي أنه في المحاولة الأولى تمكّن جمرك ميناء ضباء من إحباط محاولة تهريب 49,929 حبة من مادة الإمفيتامين المخدرة، عُثر عليها مُخبأة في إرسالية طاولات خشبية. وفي المحاولة الثانية تمكن جمرك مطار الملك عبدالعزيز الدولي بجدة من إحباط محاولة تهريب 20,209 حبة من مادة الإمفيتامين المخدرة، عُثر عليها مُخبأة في حقيبة أحد المسافرين القادمين إلى المملكة عبر المطار، وأضاف الحربي أن في المحاولة الثالثة تمكن جمرك منفذ البطحاء من إحباط محاولة تهريب 191,764 حبة من مادة الإمفيتامين، كانت مُخبأة في تجاويف أرضية إحدى الشاحنات، كما أحبط الجمرك محاولة أخرى لتهريب 9.8 كيلوغرام من مادة «الشبو»، عُثر عليها مُخبأة في إحدى الشاحنات القادمة للمملكة عبر المنفذ.
وأفاد الحربي أنه بعد إتمام عمليات الضبط، جرى التنسيق مع المديرية العامة لمكافحة المخدرات لضمان القبض على مستقبلي المضبوطات داخل المملكة، حيث تم القبض عليهم وعددهم 3 أشخاص.
وأكّد الحربي أن الهيئة ماضية في إحكام الرقابة الجمركية على واردات وصادرات المملكة، وتقف بالمرصاد أمام محاولات أرباب التهريب، وذلك تحقيقًا لأبرز ركائز استراتيجيتها المتمثلة في تعزيز أمن وحماية المجتمع بالحد من محاولات تهريب مثل هذه الآفات وغيرها من الممنوعات.
ودعا الحربي الجميع إلى الإسهام في مكافحة التهريب لحماية المجتمع والاقتصاد الوطني من خلال التواصل معها على الرقم المخصص للبلاغات الأمنية (1910) أو عبر البريد الإلكتروني (@zatca.gov.sa1910) والرقم الدولي (009661910) حيث تقوم الهيئة من خلال هذه القنوات باستقبال البلاغات المرتبطة بجرائم التهريب، ومخالفات أحكام نظام الجمارك الموحد وذلك بسرية تامة، مع منح مكافأة مالية للمُبلّغ في حال صحة معلومات البلاغ.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) thwarted 4 attempts to smuggle more than 261,000 pills of the narcotic substance "amphetamine," and intercepted 9.8 kilograms of "shabu," which were found hidden in vehicles and shipments that arrived in the Kingdom via King Abdulaziz International Airport, the Port of Daba, and the Al-Batha border crossing.
The official spokesperson for ZATCA, Hamoud Al-Harbi, explained that in the first attempt, the customs at the Port of Daba managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle 49,929 pills of the narcotic substance amphetamine, which were found hidden in a shipment of wooden tables. In the second attempt, the customs at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah intercepted an attempt to smuggle 20,209 pills of amphetamine, which were found hidden in a bag belonging to one of the travelers arriving in the Kingdom through the airport. Al-Harbi added that in the third attempt, the customs at the Al-Batha border crossing thwarted an attempt to smuggle 191,764 pills of amphetamine, which were hidden in the floor cavities of one of the trucks. The customs also thwarted another attempt to smuggle 9.8 kilograms of "shabu," which were found hidden in one of the trucks coming to the Kingdom through the crossing.
Al-Harbi stated that after completing the seizure operations, coordination was made with the General Directorate for Drug Control to ensure the arrest of those receiving the seized items inside the Kingdom, where three individuals were arrested.
Al-Harbi affirmed that the authority is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, standing vigilant against the attempts of smugglers, in line with one of the main pillars of its strategy aimed at enhancing the security and protection of society by reducing attempts to smuggle such scourges and other prohibited items.
He called on everyone to contribute to the fight against smuggling to protect society and the national economy by contacting them at the dedicated security reporting number (1910) or via email (@zatca.gov.sa1910) and the international number (009661910), where the authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the unified customs system confidentially, with a financial reward granted to the informant if the information provided is accurate.
