تواصل هيئة التراث جهودها في حماية المواقع الأثرية من التعديات والتشوهات البصرية، ضمن المرحلة الرابعة من مشروع إزالة التشوهات من المواقع الأثرية، التي تشمل مناطق الرياض، ومنطقة القصيم، والمنطقة الشرقية، ومنطقة الأحساء، ومنطقة الحدود الشمالية.
ونُفِّذت أعمال المرحلة الرابعة، من خلال فرق متخصصة استخدمت مواد وتقنيات آمنة، تراعي الحفاظ على القيمة التاريخية والمكونات الأصلية للمواقع، وشملت الأعمال إزالة الكتابات والرسومات العشوائية في مواقع متعددة، أبرزها: جبل أم صقرة، وجبل أم فرقي، والقراين، والكيثال، والرديّهة، إذ تم التعامل مع أكثر من 341 حالة تشوه بصري.
وأوضحت هيئة التراث أن أعمال المشروع ستستمر في المناطق المتبقية من المرحلة، وهي منطقة الحدود الشمالية، ضمن خطة وطنية شاملة لمعالجة التشوهات البصرية في المواقع الأثرية وتهيئتها للاستدامة، وتعزيز قيمتها الثقافية والحضارية.
وأكدت الهيئة أهمية رفع مستوى الوعي المجتمعي بأهمية المواقع الأثرية، إلى جانب تكثيف أعمال المراقبة والمتابعة الميدانية، وتوثيق جهود ونتائج ما تحقق ضمن هذا المشروع الوطني الذي يُعنى بحماية مكونات التراث.
The Heritage Authority continues its efforts to protect archaeological sites from encroachments and visual distortions, as part of the fourth phase of the project to remove distortions from archaeological sites, which includes the Riyadh region, Al-Qassim region, the Eastern Province, Al-Ahsa region, and the Northern Borders region.
The works of the fourth phase were carried out by specialized teams that used safe materials and techniques, taking into account the preservation of the historical value and original components of the sites. The works included the removal of random writings and drawings in multiple locations, most notably: Mount Um Saqra, Mount Um Farqi, Al-Qarain, Al-Kithal, and Al-Radiyah, where more than 341 cases of visual distortion were addressed.
The Heritage Authority clarified that the project will continue in the remaining areas of the phase, which is the Northern Borders region, as part of a comprehensive national plan to address visual distortions in archaeological sites and prepare them for sustainability, enhancing their cultural and civilizational value.
The Authority emphasized the importance of raising community awareness about the significance of archaeological sites, in addition to intensifying monitoring and field follow-up efforts, and documenting the achievements and results of this national project that is concerned with protecting the components of heritage.
