عبّر سفير دولة فلسطين لدى المملكة العربية السعودية، مازن غنيم، عن بالغ الترحيب والتقدير لما تضمنه بيان وزير الإعلام السعودي عقب جلسة مجلس الوزراء برئاسة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، التي انعقدت اليوم في مدينة جدة، مشيداً بالمواقف الثابتة والمشرّفة للمملكة في دعم الشعب الفلسطيني وحقوقه الوطنية المشروعة.
وأكد السفير غنيم أن إعلان المملكة العربية السعودية، بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز وولي عهده الأمين رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، دعمها الصريح لتسريع الاعتراف الدولي بالدولة الفلسطينية، ودفعها باتجاه تنفيذ حل الدولتين، يعكس عمق التزامها التاريخي بقضية فلسطين، وحرصها الصادق على تحقيق السلام العادل والشامل في المنطقة، وفقاً للقرارات الشرعية الدولية ومبادرة السلام العربية.
كما ثمّن السفير غنيم عالياً ترحيب المملكة بإعلان الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون عزمه الاعتراف بالدولة الفلسطينية خلال سبتمبر القادم، معتبراً أن هذا الترحيب يعزز الزخم الدولي الداعم لإنهاء الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وتمكين الشعب الفلسطيني من إقامة دولته المستقلة على حدود الرابع من حزيران 1967 وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
وفي هذا السياق، عبر السفير غنيم عن شكر وتقدير الرئيس محمود عباس والقيادة الفلسطينية، وكافة أبناء الشعب الفلسطيني، للمملكة العربية السعودية قيادةً وشعباً، «على مواقفها الثابتة، ووقوفها المستمر إلى جانب شعبنا في وجه الاحتلال والعدوان وعلى كل المستويات»، مؤكداً أن هذا الدعم المتواصل يُشكل ركيزةً أساسية في حماية الحقوق الفلسطينية، وترسيخ العدالة، وتحقيق تطلعات الشعب الفلسطيني في الحرية والاستقلال.
The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mazen Ghneim, expressed his deep welcome and appreciation for the statement made by the Saudi Minister of Media following the Cabinet session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, which was held today in the city of Jeddah. He praised the steadfast and honorable positions of the Kingdom in supporting the Palestinian people and their legitimate national rights.
Ambassador Ghneim affirmed that the announcement by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, of its explicit support for accelerating international recognition of the Palestinian state and pushing towards the implementation of the two-state solution, reflects its deep historical commitment to the Palestinian cause and its sincere desire to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region, in accordance with international legitimate resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
He also highly appreciated the Kingdom's welcome of French President Emmanuel Macron's intention to recognize the Palestinian state during the upcoming September, considering this welcome as enhancing the international momentum supporting the end of the Israeli occupation and enabling the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In this context, Ambassador Ghneim expressed the gratitude and appreciation of President Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian leadership, and all the Palestinian people to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both leadership and people, "for its steadfast positions and continuous support for our people in the face of occupation and aggression at all levels," emphasizing that this ongoing support constitutes a fundamental pillar in protecting Palestinian rights, establishing justice, and achieving the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence.
