وصل وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، اليوم، إلى مدينة نيويورك الأمريكية، للمشاركة في ترؤس المؤتمر الدولي رفيع المستوى حول التسوية السلمية لقضية فلسطين، وتنفيذ حل الدولتين على المستوى الوزاري، الذي ترأسه المملكة بالشراكة مع جمهورية فرنسا والمنعقد في مقر الأمم المتحدة.
ويهدف المؤتمر إلى طرح مسار زمني يؤسس لدولة فلسطينية ذات سيادة ينهي الاحتلال على أرضها على أساس حل عادل ودائم وفقًا لمبادرة السلام العربية والقرارات الأممية ذات الصلة، كما يركز المؤتمر خلال أيام انعقاده على الإجراءات العملية لدعم التسوية السلمية بشكل عاجل، ووضع أسس حل عادل ودائم للقضية الفلسطينية يوقف دائرة العنف المستمرة في المنطقة، ويسهم في استقرار أمنها الإقليمي، وينهي معاناة الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق، ويعيد له حقوقه المشروعة في تجسيد دولته الفلسطينية المستقلة.
Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived today in New York City, USA, to participate in co-chairing the high-level international conference on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution at the ministerial level, which is chaired by the Kingdom in partnership with the French Republic and held at the United Nations headquarters.
The conference aims to propose a timeline that establishes a sovereign Palestinian state, ending the occupation of its land based on a just and lasting solution in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant UN resolutions. The conference will also focus during its days of convening on practical measures to urgently support the peaceful settlement and lay the foundations for a just and lasting solution to the Palestinian issue that halts the ongoing cycle of violence in the region, contributes to the stability of its regional security, ends the suffering of the Palestinian brotherly people, and restores their legitimate rights in realizing their independent Palestinian state.
