تلقى ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، اتصالاً هاتفياً، اليوم، من رئيس الجمهورية العربية السورية الرئيس أحمد الشرع.
وفي بداية الاتصال، رحب ولي العهد بما أعلن عنه فخامته من ترتيبات وإجراءات لاحتواء الأحداث الأخيرة في سورية، معرباً عن ثقة المملكة بقدرة الحكومة السورية بقيادة فخامته على تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار لسورية الشقيقة.
ونوه ولي العهد بالجهود التي يبذلها فخامته لاستمرار سورية في مسارها الصحيح الذي يكفل المحافظة على وحدة سورية وسلامة أراضيها وتعزيز وحدتها الوطنية وتكاتف جميع أطياف الشعب السوري الشقيق وتلاحمه وعدم السماح لأي بوادر فتنة تهدف إلى زعزعة أمنه واستقراره.
كما شدد ولي العهد على أهمية مواصلة ما بدأته سورية على كافة المستويات لتحقيق التقدم والازدهار الذي يتطلع إليه الشعب السوري الشقيق، مجدداً التأكيد على موقف المملكة الثابت في مساندة سورية والوقوف إلى جانبها ورفض أي عمل يمس السلم الأهلي والاجتماعي جملة وتفصيلاً.
وجدد ولي العهد موقف المملكة المُعلن في إدانة الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية السافرة على الأراضي السورية والتدخل في شؤونها الداخلية.
وأكد ولي العهد ضرورة دعم المجتمع الدولي للحكومة السورية في مواجهة هذه التحديات ومنع أي تدخلات خارجية في الشأن الداخلي السوري تحت أي مبرر.
من جهته، أعرب الرئيس السوري عن شكره للمملكة لمواقفها الداعمة لمساندة سورية، وتقديره للدور الذي يقوم به ولي العهد من جهود ومساعٍ لدعم الأمن والاستقرار في سورية والمنطقة.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz received a phone call today from the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, President Ahmad al-Shara.
At the beginning of the call, the Crown Prince welcomed what His Excellency announced regarding the arrangements and measures to contain the recent events in Syria, expressing the Kingdom's confidence in the ability of the Syrian government, under His Excellency's leadership, to achieve security and stability for the sisterly Syria.
The Crown Prince noted the efforts made by His Excellency to ensure that Syria continues on the right path that guarantees the preservation of Syria's unity and territorial integrity, enhances its national unity, and fosters the solidarity of all segments of the Syrian people, preventing any signs of sedition aimed at undermining its security and stability.
The Crown Prince also emphasized the importance of continuing what Syria has started at all levels to achieve the progress and prosperity that the Syrian people aspire to, reiterating the Kingdom's firm position in supporting Syria and standing by its side, as well as rejecting any actions that affect public and social peace in any way.
The Crown Prince renewed the Kingdom's declared position in condemning the blatant Israeli attacks on Syrian territory and interference in its internal affairs.
He affirmed the necessity of international support for the Syrian government in facing these challenges and preventing any external interventions in Syrian internal affairs under any pretext.
For his part, the Syrian President expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom for its supportive positions towards Syria and his appreciation for the role played by the Crown Prince in efforts and endeavors to support security and stability in Syria and the region.
