أشادت وزيرة الشؤون الاجتماعية بولاية نهر النيل السودانية الدكتورة تهاني ميرغني، بالدعم الإنساني المتواصل الذي تقدمه المملكة العربية السعودية لاسيما في أوقات الأزمات والكوارث الإنسانية.
وأثنت، خلال تدشين مشروع توزيع ألف سلة غذائية للفئات الأكثر احتياجاً بالولاية، الذي نفذته الندوة العالمية للشباب الإسلامي، على الدور الكبير الذي تضطلع به الندوة العالمية لتخفيف المعاناة الإنسانية الناجمة عن الأحداث في السودان وشح الغذاء فيها، مشيدةً بمبادراتها التنموية المتنوعة التي تشمل قطاعات الصحة والتعليم والشباب والإغاثة.
وأكدت، أن هذه الجهود تُجسد روح التضامن الإنساني في أبهى صوره.
وأوضح مدير مكتب الندوة في السودان الدكتور محمد الحبر، أن برنامج السلال الغذائية يستهدف المناطق الأكثر فقراً واحتياجاً، ومن ذلك مناطق اللجوء والنزوح.

The Minister of Social Affairs of the Nile River State in Sudan, Dr. Tahani Mirghani, praised the continuous humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially during times of crises and humanitarian disasters.
During the launch of a project to distribute one thousand food baskets to the most needy groups in the state, implemented by the World Assembly of Muslim Youth, she commended the significant role played by the Assembly in alleviating the humanitarian suffering caused by the events in Sudan and the food shortages there, praising its diverse developmental initiatives that include the sectors of health, education, youth, and relief.
She affirmed that these efforts embody the spirit of human solidarity in its finest form.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Habr, the director of the Assembly's office in Sudan, explained that the food basket program targets the poorest and most needy areas, including refugee and displacement regions.
