رعى البرنامج الوطني لتطوير قطاع الثروة الحيوانية والسمكية توقيع اتفاقيتين بين السعودية واليونان في مجالي محالب الحليب ومسالخ اللحوم، وذلك على هامش زيارة نظمت للمستثمرين السعوديين إلى اليونان.
وشملت الاتفاقية الأولى تعاوناً في مجال محالب الحليب وتطوير حلولها التقنية، بينما تضمنت الاتفاقية الثانية مشروعاً استثمارياً ضخماً بقيمة تُقدّر بنحو 140 مليون ريال لإنشاء مسلخين للحوم في منطقتي مكة المكرمة وجازان، إلى جانب تطوير مصنع لحوم ووحدات للصناعات التحويلية المرتبطة بها.
وتعد هذه المبادرات جزءاً من استراتيجية البرنامج الوطني لتوطين أفضل الممارسات الدولية، حيث يسعى البرنامج إلى نقل المعرفة وتكييفها مع البيئة المحلية، دعماً لأهداف الاستدامة وزيادة الكفاءة التشغيلية والإنتاجية.
كما شملت الزيارة، دراسة استقطاب سلالات عالية الكفاءة الإنتاجية، واطلاع الوفد على الابتكارات التقنية الحديثة في مجال الثروة الحيوانية، مثل أنظمة رقمية وحلول استشعار ذكية لمراقبة صحة القطيع ورفع جودة الإنتاج.
وفي جانب التغذية الحيوانية، بحث الجانبان سبل التعاون في تطوير نظم الأعلاف وتحسين كفاءتها، حيث تعرف الوفد على تقنيات إعداد تركيبات علفية متوازنة وممارسات زراعة الأعلاف محلياً وتخزينها بطرق فعّالة.

The National Program for the Development of the Livestock and Fisheries Sector sponsored the signing of two agreements between Saudi Arabia and Greece in the fields of milk parlors and meat slaughterhouses, during a visit organized for Saudi investors to Greece.
The first agreement included cooperation in the field of milk parlors and the development of their technical solutions, while the second agreement involved a massive investment project estimated at around 140 million riyals to establish two meat slaughterhouses in the regions of Makkah and Jazan, in addition to developing a meat processing plant and units for related processing industries.
These initiatives are part of the strategy of the National Program to localize the best international practices, as the program aims to transfer knowledge and adapt it to the local environment, supporting sustainability goals and increasing operational and production efficiency.
The visit also included studying the attraction of high-efficiency production breeds and familiarizing the delegation with modern technological innovations in the field of livestock, such as digital systems and smart sensing solutions to monitor herd health and enhance production quality.
In the area of animal nutrition, both sides discussed ways to collaborate in developing feed systems and improving their efficiency, where the delegation learned about techniques for preparing balanced feed formulations and practices for locally growing and storing feed effectively.
