عقدت الهيئة العامة لمجلس الشورى برئاسة نائب رئيس المجلس الدكتور مشعل فهم السُّلمي، في مقر المجلس بالرياض، اجتماعها الحادي عشر من أعمال السنة الأولى للدورة التاسعة، بحضور الأمين العام للمجلس محمد داخل المطيري، ورؤساء اللجان المتخصصة، وذلك للنظر في الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول أعمالها، والمقدمة من لجان مجلس الشورى المتخصصة.
ووافقت الهيئة العامة لمجلس الشورى، على إحالة 45 تقريراً سنوياً لأداء الأجهزة الحكومية على جدول أعمال جلسات المجلس القادمة، من بينها التقرير السنوي للهيئة السعودية للسياحة، والمعهد الوطني للتطوير المهني التعليمي، والتقرير السنوي لوزارة التعليم، والتقرير السنوي لوزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية، والتقرير السنوي لوزارة الثقافة، وكذلك التقارير السنوية للمعهد الوطني لأبحاث الصحة وهيئة الهلال الأحمر السعودي، وهيئة الاتصالات والفضاء والتقنية، والهيئة العامة للأمن الغذائي.
كما أحالت الهيئة العامة، عدداً من تقارير لجان المجلس المتخصصة، التي تضمنت 15 مشروعاً لمذكرات تفاهم واتفاقيات ومعاهدات مع عدد من الدول الشقيقة والصديقة في مجالات عدة، إضافة إلى عددٍ من مشاريع الأنظمة.
يذكر، أنَّ الهيئة العامة لمجلس الشورى وفق قواعد عمل المجلس وإجراءاته واللائحة الداخلية للمجلس، تختص في وضع الخطة العامة للمجلس ولجانه، والتأكد من النواحي الإجرائية لتقارير اللجان ومدى جاهزيتها للعرض على المجلس، ووضع جدول أعمال جلسات المجلس، إضافة إلى عدد من الاختصاصات الأخرى التي تضمنتها قواعد وإجراءات عمل المجلس ولائحته الداخلية.

The General Assembly of the Shura Council, chaired by the Vice President of the Council, Dr. Mishal Fahm Al-Sulami, held its eleventh meeting of the first year of the ninth session at the council's headquarters in Riyadh, with the presence of the Secretary-General of the Council, Mohammed Dakhel Al-Mutairi, and the heads of specialized committees, to discuss the topics listed on its agenda, submitted by the specialized committees of the Shura Council.
The General Assembly of the Shura Council approved the referral of 45 annual reports on the performance of government agencies to the agenda of the upcoming council sessions, including the annual report of the Saudi Tourism Authority, the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, the annual report of the Ministry of Education, the annual report of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the annual report of the Ministry of Culture, as well as the annual reports of the National Institute for Health Research, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, the Communications, Space and Technology Authority, and the Public Authority for Food Security.
The General Assembly also referred a number of reports from the council's specialized committees, which included 15 projects for memorandums of understanding, agreements, and treaties with several brotherly and friendly countries in various fields, in addition to a number of draft regulations.
It is worth mentioning that the General Assembly of the Shura Council, according to the council's rules of procedure and internal regulations, is responsible for setting the general plan for the council and its committees, ensuring the procedural aspects of the committees' reports and their readiness for presentation to the council, setting the agenda for the council's sessions, in addition to several other competencies included in the rules and procedures of the council and its internal regulations.
