Inspection teams from the General Transport Authority have caught (1457) violators during inspection rounds over the week, and have taken legal actions against them, including vehicle impoundment and financial fines, for practicing passenger transport without obtaining a "Kaddadah" license, across various regions of the Kingdom, in cooperation with several relevant authorities.

The Transport Authority revealed that the inspection teams apprehended (844) violators who were engaged in preparatory activities "hauling" to transport passengers using their private vehicles without a license, and (613) violators who transported passengers in their private vehicles in unauthorized ways.

The Authority indicated that the new land transport system on the roads has emphasized the prohibition of transport activities without a legal license, and the penalties for repeated violations include financial fines of up to (11) thousand riyals along with vehicle impoundment for (25) days for those engaged in preparatory activities "hauling," while penalties can reach a fine of (20) thousand riyals and vehicle impoundment for up to (60) days for those practicing unauthorized transport, with the possibility of selling the violating vehicle at a public auction and deporting non-Saudis in case of repeated violations.
