أعلن المركز الوطني للأرصاد أن التوقعات المناخية خلال الفترة من أكتوبر إلى ديسمبر 2026م تشير إلى فرص لهطول أمطار أعلى من المعدل الطبيعي على أغلب مناطق المملكة خلال أكتوبر ومعظم مناطقها خلال نوفمبر، فيما تكون حول المعدل على أغلب المناطق خلال ديسمبر، بالتزامن مع ارتفاع متوقع في متوسط درجات الحرارة السطحية عن المعدل الطبيعي خلال الأشهر الثلاثة.
وبيّن المركز أن شهر أكتوبر يُتوقع أن يشهد هطول أمطار أعلى من المعدل على أغلب مناطق المملكة وسواحل البحر الأحمر والخليج العربي، بفرصة حدوث تصل إلى 80%، وتتراوح الأمطار من متوسطة إلى غزيرة، وقد تصل إلى غزيرة جدًا على مناطق تبوك، والمدينة المنورة، والباحة، وعسير، والجوف، وحائل، والقصيم، والحدود الشمالية، والرياض ما عدا الجنوب، إضافة إلى غرب نجران، مشيرًا إلى أن الأمطار خلال أكتوبر قد تصل إلى شديدة الغزارة على مناطق مكة المكرمة، وجازان، والمنطقة الشرقية، باستثناء جنوب المنطقة الشرقية.
أمطار غزيرة إلى غزيرة جداً
وفي شهر نوفمبر، توقع المركز هطول أمطار أعلى من المعدل على معظم مناطق المملكة، بنسبة احتمال تصل إلى 75%، وقد تتراوح من غزيرة إلى غزيرة جدًا، وتشمل مناطق مكة المكرمة، والرياض، والباحة، وعسير، وجازان، والجوف، والحدود الشمالية، وتبوك، والمنطقة الشرقية، إضافة إلى القصيم ما عدا الغرب، وحائل ما عدا جنوب غربها، وشمال وجنوب المدينة المنورة.
أما خلال شهر ديسمبر، فتشير التوقعات إلى هطول أمطار حول المعدل الطبيعي على أغلب مناطق المملكة، مع فرص لهطول أمطار أعلى من المعدل على أجزاء من منطقتي الشرقية ومكة المكرمة، بنسبة احتمال تتراوح بين 40 و50%، وتتراوح شدتها من غزيرة إلى غزيرة جدًا.
ارتفاع الحرارة السطحية
وفيما يتعلق بدرجات الحرارة، أوضح المركز أن التوقعات الاحتمالية خلال أشهر أكتوبر ونوفمبر وديسمبر تشير إلى ارتفاع متوسط درجات الحرارة السطحية عن المعدل الطبيعي على جميع مناطق المملكة، مبينًا أن أقصى الارتفاعات المتوقعة تتركز على أجزاء من جنوب شرق مكة المكرمة، وشرق الباحة، وعسير ما عدا الغرب، وشمال شرق جازان، ونجران ما عدا الشرق، وجنوب وجنوب غرب المنطقة الشرقية، إضافة إلى جنوب الرياض.
وأشار المركز إلى أن الزيادة المتوقعة في درجات الحرارة خلال أكتوبر تصل إلى 3 درجات مئوية، ثم تنخفض تدريجيًا إلى 2.5 درجة مئوية في نوفمبر، و1.5 درجة مئوية في ديسمبر.
The National Center of Meteorology announced that the climate forecasts for the period from October to December 2026 indicate chances of rainfall above the normal average in most regions of the Kingdom during October and in most areas during November, while it will be around the average in most regions during December, coinciding with an expected rise in the average surface temperatures above the normal average during the three months.
The center indicated that October is expected to witness rainfall above the average in most regions of the Kingdom and along the coasts of the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf, with a likelihood of occurrence reaching up to 80%. The rainfall will range from moderate to heavy, and may reach very heavy in the regions of Tabuk, Medina, Al-Baha, Asir, Al-Jawf, Hail, Al-Qassim, the Northern Borders, and Riyadh except for the south, in addition to western Najran. It pointed out that the rainfall during October may reach very heavy in the regions of Makkah, Jazan, and the Eastern Province, except for the southern part of the Eastern Province.
Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall
In November, the center expects rainfall above the average in most regions of the Kingdom, with a probability of up to 75%. The rainfall may range from heavy to very heavy, covering the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, Al-Jawf, the Northern Borders, Tabuk, and the Eastern Province, in addition to Al-Qassim except for the west, and Hail except for its southwest, as well as the north and south of Medina.
As for December, forecasts indicate rainfall around the normal average in most regions of the Kingdom, with chances of rainfall above the average in parts of the Eastern and Makkah regions, with a probability ranging between 40% and 50%, and its intensity will range from heavy to very heavy.
Increase in Surface Temperatures
Regarding temperatures, the center clarified that the probabilistic forecasts during the months of October, November, and December indicate an increase in the average surface temperatures above the normal average in all regions of the Kingdom, noting that the highest expected increases are concentrated in parts of southeastern Makkah, eastern Al-Baha, Asir except for the west, northeastern Jazan, Najran except for the east, and the south and southwest of the Eastern Province, in addition to southern Riyadh.
The center indicated that the expected increase in temperatures during October reaches 3 degrees Celsius, then gradually decreases to 2.5 degrees Celsius in November, and 1.5 degrees Celsius in December.
