رفضت الجمعية السعودية للتمريض أي إساءة أو انتقاص من مهنة التمريض ومنسوبيها، وأكدت أن الممرض والممرضة يمثلان ركيزة أساسية في منظومة الرعاية الصحية، وأكدت عبر حسابها الرسمي في «إكس»، أن المساس بمكانة الممرض والممرضة أو تقديم صور نمطية تمس قيمتهما المهنية أو الاجتماعية أمر مرفوض.
وجاء تحرك الجمعية بعد أيام من إعلان شرطة منطقة الرياض القبض على مقيم ظهر في محتوى مرئي يتحدث بعبارات تتضمن المساس بالآداب العامة والقيم الدينية والإساءة للمرأة، وجرت إحالته إلى النيابة العامة.
وكان المحتوى المتداول قد أثار ردود فعل واسعة، بعد حديث صاحبه بصورة تنتقص من عمل المرأة في التمريض، ما أثار استياء منسوبي القطاع الصحي ومتابعين طالبوا بالتصدي للإساءة إلى المهنة والعاملين فيها.
وقالت الجمعية إنها تابعت ما نشر وتداول عبر وسائل الإعلام ومنصات التواصل الاجتماعي من محتوى يتضمن إساءة أو انتقاصاً لمهنة التمريض وشددت على أن حرية التعبير والنقد لا تبرر الإساءة إلى الأفراد أو المهن أو الانتقاص من كرامتهم وسمعتهم.
وأشارت إلى ما كفلته الأنظمة في السعودية من حماية للأفراد من الإساءة والتشهير عبر الوسائل التقنية، مؤكدة استمرارها في تعزيز الصورة المجتمعية اللائقة بالمهنة والتصدي للإساءة أو الانتقاص منها بالوسائل المهنية والنظامية.
وأثار توقيت صدور البيان ردوداً تساءلت عن تأخر موقف الجمعية، إذ سبقته مطالبات من ممارسين صحيين بضرورة التحرك للدفاع عن منسوبي التمريض.
تجمع صحي: نعتز بهم
أكد المدير التنفيذي لتجمع جدة الصحي الثاني شادي الخياط اعتزازه بمنسوبي التمريض، وقال إن «التمريض ليس مهنة فحسب، بل رسالة، ويد تمتد للإنسان في أشد لحظاته احتياجاً»، مؤكداً أن صون كرامة الممرضين والممرضات وحماية مكانتهم واجب تجاه من يحملون على عاتقهم جزءاً أصيلاً من رسالة الرعاية الصحية.
قانوني:يمس الاداب العامة
وأكد المحامي سلطان المقاطي أن الجهات المختصة تتخذ الإجراءات النظامية بحق كل من يسعى إلى الإخلال بها أو إثارة الفتنة في المجتمع.
وأوضح المقاطي أن الإساءة إلى مهنة التمريض تمثل انتقاصاً من مهنة نبيلة، وقد تدخل -بحسب طبيعة المحتوى وملابساته وتكييف الجهة المختصة- ضمن الأفعال التي تمس النظام العام أو الآداب العامة.
وأشار المقاطي إلى أن الفقرة الأولى من المادة السادسة من نظام مكافحة الجرائم المعلوماتية نصت على عقوبة تصل إلى السجن خمس سنوات، وغرامة تصل إلى ثلاثة ملايين ريال، أو بإحدى هاتين العقوبتين، على بعض الجرائم المعلوماتية التي من شأنها المساس بالنظام العام أو القيم الدينية أو الآداب العامة.
وأضاف أنه يجوز أن يتضمن الحكم نشر ملخصه على نفقة المحكوم عليه في صحيفة أو أكثر، بعد اكتساب الحكم الصفة النهائية، وفقاً لما تقضي به الأنظمة ذات الصلة.
The Saudi Nursing Association rejected any abuse or belittlement of the nursing profession and its members, emphasizing that nurses represent a fundamental pillar in the healthcare system. It confirmed through its official account on "X" that any attack on the status of nurses or the presentation of stereotypes that undermine their professional or social value is unacceptable.
The association's action came days after the Riyadh Police announced the arrest of a resident who appeared in a video content speaking with phrases that included violations of public morals, religious values, and insults to women, and he was referred to the Public Prosecution.
The circulated content had sparked widespread reactions after the speaker made comments that belittled women's work in nursing, which provoked discontent among healthcare sector members and followers who called for addressing the insults to the profession and its workers.
The association stated that it had monitored what was published and circulated through media and social media platforms containing insults or belittlement of the nursing profession, stressing that freedom of expression and criticism do not justify insulting individuals or professions or undermining their dignity and reputation.
It pointed to the protections guaranteed by the laws in Saudi Arabia for individuals against abuse and defamation through technical means, affirming its commitment to enhancing the appropriate societal image of the profession and addressing any insults or belittlement through professional and legal means.
The timing of the statement raised questions about the delay in the association's stance, as it was preceded by calls from healthcare practitioners for the need to act in defense of nursing staff.
Health Gathering: We Take Pride in Them
The Executive Director of the Second Jeddah Health Gathering, Shadi Al-Khayyat, affirmed his pride in nursing staff, stating that "nursing is not just a profession, but a message, and a hand that reaches out to people in their most desperate moments of need," emphasizing that safeguarding the dignity of nurses and protecting their status is a duty towards those who carry a fundamental part of the healthcare message.
Legal Expert: It Violates Public Morals
Lawyer Sultan Al-Muqati confirmed that the relevant authorities are taking legal action against anyone who seeks to disrupt public order or incite discord in society.
Al-Muqati explained that insulting the nursing profession represents a belittlement of a noble profession, and depending on the nature of the content and its circumstances, it may fall - according to the relevant authority's classification - among acts that violate public order or public morals.
He pointed out that the first paragraph of Article Six of the Anti-Cyber Crime Law stipulates a penalty of up to five years in prison and a fine of up to three million riyals, or one of these penalties, for certain cybercrimes that may affect public order, religious values, or public morals.
He added that the ruling may include publishing a summary at the expense of the convicted person in one or more newspapers, after the ruling becomes final, in accordance with the relevant regulations.
