تقود المملكة مسارًا دوليًا لتعزيز التعاون التنظيمي في قطاع المياه، عبر «منتدى تنظيم المياه» الذي تنظمه الهيئة السعودية للمياه في الرياض في الأول من نوفمبر 2026، بمشاركة منظمين وصنّاع سياسات ومؤسسات دولية وتمويلية وقادة القطاع من 24 دولة.
ويهدف المنتدى إلى تطوير أطر تنظيمية أكثر مرونة وكفاءة واستدامة، ومناقشة تحديات ندرة المياه وتغير المناخ، وتنظيم التحلية وإعادة الاستخدام، وتعزيز الاستثمار والابتكار وموثوقية الإمداد.
ويجمع المنتدى في نسخته الافتتاحية 28 متحدثًا و4 منظمات دولية و25 جهة حكومية نظيرة، بالشراكة مع الجمعية الدولية لتحلية المياه وإعادة استخدامها «IDRA»، كما يشهد الإعلان عن الهوية والتوجه الإستراتيجي لمؤتمر «Water Regulation Exchange – WREx»، تمهيدًا لانطلاق نسخته الأولى في الرياض عام 2027.
ويقام المنتدى بالتزامن مع المؤتمر العالمي لتحلية المياه وإعادة استخدامها «IDRA World Congress 2026»، الذي تستضيفه المملكة في الرياض خلال الفترة من 1 إلى 5 نوفمبر، برعاية وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس عبدالرحمن عبدالمحسن الفضلي.
The Kingdom is leading an international initiative to enhance regulatory cooperation in the water sector through the "Water Regulation Forum," organized by the Saudi Water Authority in Riyadh on November 1, 2026, with the participation of regulators, policymakers, international and financial institutions, and sector leaders from 24 countries.
The forum aims to develop more flexible, efficient, and sustainable regulatory frameworks, discuss challenges related to water scarcity and climate change, regulate desalination and reuse, and promote investment, innovation, and supply reliability.
The inaugural edition of the forum will bring together 28 speakers, 4 international organizations, and 25 counterpart government entities, in partnership with the International Desalination and Reuse Association "IDRA." It will also witness the announcement of the identity and strategic direction of the "Water Regulation Exchange – WREx" conference, paving the way for its first edition in Riyadh in 2027.
The forum will take place concurrently with the IDRA World Congress 2026 on desalination and reuse, hosted by the Kingdom in Riyadh from November 1 to 5, under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli.
