أعرب عدد من أولياء أمور خريجي وخريجات المرحلة الثانوية عن أملهم في أن تمدد المنصة الوطنية للقبول الموحد (قبول) مرحلة استمرارية الفرص المتبقية التي تنتهي 31 أغسطس الجاري.
وقالوا لـ «عكاظ»: إنه قد تتاح مقاعد جديدة، خصوصاً مع بدء أعمال القبول المبدئية في الكليات العسكرية والأمنية التابعة لعدد من الوزارات، والتي يتجه لها عدد كبير من الطلبة، مشيرين إلى أن تمديد الفترة الزمنية إلى ما قبل بداية العام الجامعي يمكن الجهات التعليمية من تحديد الشواغر لديها بعد الانسحاب الرسمي لبعض المقبولين سابقاً.
وأضافوا، أنه بالإمكان إعلان هذه المقاعد الشاغرة إما عن طريق المنصة مباشرة أو عن طريق عمادات القبول والتسجيل بالقطاعات التعليمية.
وقالوا: إن هذه الآلية ستوفر مقاعد جديدة أو ترقية بعض رغبات المقبولين والمقبولات في الكليات التي تشهد إقبالاً كبيراً مثل كليات الطب أو الهندسة.
يشار إلى أن «قبول» حددت أمس (الأحد)، آخر موعد متاح لإلغاء القبول من المنصة، وبعد انتهاء المهلة المحددة لإلغاء القبول يتم تقديم طلب الانسحاب من خلال الجامعة مباشرة.
A number of parents of high school graduates expressed their hope that the national unified admission platform (Qabul) would extend the remaining opportunity period, which ends on August 31 of this year.
They told "Okaz": New seats may become available, especially with the commencement of preliminary admissions in military and security colleges affiliated with several ministries, which a large number of students are heading towards. They pointed out that extending the time period until just before the start of the academic year would allow educational institutions to identify vacancies after the official withdrawal of some previously accepted students.
They added that these vacant seats could be announced either directly through the platform or through the admissions and registration deanships in the educational sectors.
They stated that this mechanism would provide new seats or upgrade some preferences of accepted students in colleges that see high demand, such as medical or engineering colleges.
It is noteworthy that "Qabul" set yesterday (Sunday) as the last available date to cancel admission from the platform, and after the specified deadline for canceling admission, withdrawal requests must be submitted directly through the university.
