كشفت هيئة الاتصالات والفضاء والتقنية، نمواً لافتاً في استخدام الإنترنت وتبني التقنيات الحديثة في السعودية، في تقريرها السنوي «إنترنت السعودية 2025» في نسخته الخامسة، الذي استعرض أحدث المؤشرات الرقمية على مستوى الاستخدام والبنية التحتية.
مواكبة التقنيات
وأظهر التقرير ارتفاع نسبة تبني أدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي بين مستخدمي الإنترنت إلى 45.2%، في مؤشر يعكس سرعة مواكبة المجتمع السعودي للتقنيات الحديثة. كما كشف وصول متوسط استهلاك الفرد للبيانات عبر الإنترنت المتنقل إلى 53 غيغابايت شهريًا، أي ما يعادل ثلاثة أضعاف المتوسط العالمي، إضافة إلى تسجيل وسيط سرعة تحميل بلغ 216 ميغابت/ثانية، ما وضع المملكة ضمن أعلى خمس دول في مجموعة العشرين في هذا المؤشر، تأكيدًا على تطور البنية الرقمية وجودة الخدمات.
7 ساعات يومياً
وبيّن التقرير، أن 61.3% من المستخدمين يقضون سبع ساعات فأكثر يوميًا في استخدام الإنترنت، بما يعكس اتساع الاعتماد على الخدمات الرقمية في مختلف جوانب الحياة. كما استعرض أكثر التطبيقات استخدامًا في مجالات التواصل الاجتماعي، والخدمات الحكومية، والرياضة، وتطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي، مع تحليل أنماط الاستخدام بين الفئات المختلفة.
وسلّط التقرير الضوء على نمو أسماء النطاقات السعودية بنسبة 18% سنويًا، في مؤشر يعكس ارتفاع موثوقية المحتوى المحلي وتوسع الاعتماد على الهوية الرقمية الوطنية في التصفح.
وتناول التقرير مؤشرات إضافية مرتبطة بتطور المنظومة الرقمية، مثل التطبيقات الأسرع نموًا، وأنماط التصفح، ومحركات البحث الأكثر استخدامًا، إلى جانب رصد تنامي المحتوى الرقمي المحلي واتساع مساهمة الاقتصاد الرقمي في المملكة، استمرارًا لجهود الهيئة في دعم الابتكار ورفع كفاءة الخدمات الرقمية.
The Communications, Space, and Technology Authority revealed significant growth in internet usage and the adoption of modern technologies in Saudi Arabia, in its annual report "Internet Saudi Arabia 2025," in its fifth edition, which reviewed the latest digital indicators at the level of usage and infrastructure.
Keeping Up with Technologies
The report showed an increase in the adoption rate of artificial intelligence tools among internet users to 45.2%, reflecting the rapid adaptation of Saudi society to modern technologies. It also revealed that the average data consumption per individual via mobile internet reached 53 gigabytes per month, which is three times the global average, in addition to recording a median download speed of 216 megabits per second, placing the Kingdom among the top five countries in the G20 in this indicator, confirming the development of digital infrastructure and the quality of services.
7 Hours Daily
The report indicated that 61.3% of users spend seven hours or more daily using the internet, reflecting the growing reliance on digital services in various aspects of life. It also reviewed the most used applications in social media, government services, sports, and artificial intelligence applications, along with an analysis of usage patterns among different demographics.
The report highlighted the growth of Saudi domain names by 18% annually, indicating an increase in the reliability of local content and a broader reliance on the national digital identity in browsing.
Additionally, the report addressed additional indicators related to the development of the digital ecosystem, such as the fastest-growing applications, browsing patterns, and the most used search engines, alongside monitoring the growth of local digital content and the expanding contribution of the digital economy in the Kingdom, continuing the Authority's efforts to support innovation and enhance the efficiency of digital services.
