لامست درجة الـ50 مئوية عددًا من المدن السعودية مع دخول جمرة القيظ، إذ تبلغ درجات الحرارة أشد مستوياتها خلال هذه الفترة، مع ارتفاع ملحوظ في معدلات الرطوبة على السواحل، وتمتد الفترة أسابيع عدة، تشهد خلالها معظم مناطق السعودية ارتفاعًا ملحوظًا في درجات الحرارة، لتلامس معدلاتها السنوية القصوى.
طباخ التمر
وتبدأ جمرة القيظ عادة في منتصف يوليو وتستمر حتى مطلع أغسطس، وتُعرف شعبيًا باسم «طباخ التمر»، وتسهم درجات الحرارة المرتفعة خلال هذه الفترة في تسريع نضج ثمار النخيل وتحولها إلى رطب، فيما تتسم الأجواء بنشاط الرياح الساخنة وارتفاع درجات الحرارة بصورة لافتة، ترافقها زيادة ملموسة في معدلات الرطوبة بالمناطق الساحلية.
وكشف المركز الوطني للأرصاد، بيان درجات الحرارة العظمى والصغرى بالدرجة المئوية والظواهر الجوية، وسجلت حفر الباطن والصمان أعلى درجة حرارة في السعودية بواقع 49 مئوية، وسادت درجة الحرارة 48 على الدمام والأحساء وصحراء الدهناء.
وسجلت كل من الرياض، بريدة، رفحاء، المجمعة، روضة التنهات والخرج درجة حرارة عظمى 46 مئوية، وشهد وادي الدواسر درجة حرارة عظمى 45 مئوية.
ولامست درجة حرارة الـ44 مئوية المدينة المنورة، شرورة، فيما سجلت مكة المكرمة، ينبع، الدوادمي 43، وسجلت محافظة جدة درجة حرارة عظمى 39 مئوية وأعلى معدلات الرطوبة 80%.
الأمطار في المرتفعات الجبلية
في الشأن نفسه، تشهد المرتفعات الجبلية أمطارًا متفرقة، تراوحت بين المتوسطة والخفيفة، مصحوبة بعواصف رعدية، تشمل أجزاءً من مدينة الباحة وضواحيها، وأجزاءً متفرقة من محافظات بلجرشي، والقرى، وبني حسن، والمندق، والعقيق، والمراكز التابعة لها، كما تشمل مناطق متفرقة من منطقة عسير تشمل أبها، خميس مشيط، الحبلة.
طقس شديد الحرارة حتى السبت
وتوقع المركز الوطني للأرصاد، استمرار تأثير الطقس الحار إلى شديد الحرارة على عدد من مناطق المملكة خلال الأيام القادمة، مع تسجيل درجات حرارة عظمى تتراوح بين 47 و49 درجة مئوية على أجزاء من المنطقة الشرقية والأجزاء الشرقية والجنوبية من منطقة الرياض، وذلك ابتداءً من غد (الإثنين) وحتى (السبت) 25 يوليو.
وأوضح المركز، أن درجات الحرارة العظمى يُتوقع أن تتراوح بين 47 و49 درجة مئوية على أجزاء من المنطقة الشرقية، إلى جانب الأجزاء الشرقية والجنوبية من منطقة الرياض، خلال الفترة الممتدة من 20 إلى 25 يوليو.
كما أشار إلى استمرار الأجواء الحارة على أجزاء من مناطق مكة المكرمة، والمدينة المنورة، والقصيم، حيث يُتوقع أن تتراوح درجات الحرارة العظمى بين 46 و48 درجة مئوية خلال الفترة من 20 إلى 22 يوليو.
The temperature has touched 50 degrees Celsius in several Saudi cities with the onset of the intense heat, as temperatures reach their highest levels during this period, accompanied by a noticeable increase in humidity rates along the coasts. This period lasts for several weeks, during which most regions of Saudi Arabia witness a significant rise in temperatures, approaching their annual maximum averages.
Heat of the Date
The intense heat typically begins in mid-July and continues until early August, popularly known as "Heat of the Date." The high temperatures during this period contribute to the rapid ripening of date palms, turning them into fresh dates. The atmosphere is characterized by hot winds and a remarkable rise in temperatures, accompanied by a noticeable increase in humidity levels in coastal areas.
The National Center of Meteorology revealed the maximum and minimum temperature readings in degrees Celsius and the weather phenomena. Hafr Al-Batin and Al-Sammān recorded the highest temperature in Saudi Arabia at 49 degrees Celsius, while temperatures reached 48 degrees in Dammam, Al-Ahsa, and the Al-Dahna desert.
Riyadh, Buraidah, Arar, Al-Majma'ah, Al-Rawdah Al-Tanhat, and Al-Kharj recorded a maximum temperature of 46 degrees Celsius, while Wadi Al-Dawasir experienced a maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius.
The temperature reached 44 degrees Celsius in Medina and Sharurah, while Makkah, Yanbu, and Al-Dawadmi recorded 43 degrees. Jeddah recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius with the highest humidity rates at 80%.
Rain in the Mountainous Areas
In the same context, the mountainous areas are experiencing scattered rains, ranging from moderate to light, accompanied by thunderstorms, affecting parts of Al-Baha city and its suburbs, as well as scattered areas in the provinces of Baljurashi, Al-Qura, Bani Hasan, Al-Mundaq, Al-Aqiq, and their affiliated centers. It also includes scattered areas in the Asir region, including Abha, Khamis Mushait, and Al-Habla.
Severe Heat Until Saturday
The National Center of Meteorology expects the continuation of hot to extremely hot weather affecting several regions of the Kingdom in the coming days, with maximum temperatures ranging between 47 and 49 degrees Celsius in parts of the Eastern Province and the eastern and southern parts of the Riyadh region, starting from tomorrow (Monday) until (Saturday) July 25.
The center clarified that maximum temperatures are expected to range between 47 and 49 degrees Celsius in parts of the Eastern Province, as well as the eastern and southern parts of the Riyadh region, during the period from July 20 to 25.
It also indicated the continuation of hot weather in parts of the Makkah, Medina, and Qassim regions, where maximum temperatures are expected to range between 46 and 48 degrees Celsius during the period from July 20 to 22.
