دانت الكويت -بأشد العبارات- هجوماً إيرانياً استهدف محطة لتوليد الكهرباء وتقطير المياه مجدداً صباح اليوم (الأحد).
وقالت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية في بيان إن تكرار الاستهداف المتعمد للمنشآت الحيوية والمدنية يعكس «نهجاً عدوانياً ممنهجاً»، ويمثل تصعيداً بالغ الخطورة وتهديداً جسيماً لسلامة المدنيين وأمنهم، فضلاً عن كونه انتهاكاً للقانون الدولي والقانون الدولي الإنساني وميثاق الأمم المتحدة وقرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2817.
وحملت الوزارة إيران كامل المسؤولية القانونية والأخلاقية عن هذه الاعتداءات وما ينجم عنها من تداعيات وعواقب، موضحة أن الكويت تحتفظ بحقها الكامل في اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة كافة لحفظ أمنها والدفاع عن أراضيها ومنشآتها الحيوية ضد أي عدوان أو تهديد، استناداً إلى حق الدفاع عن النفس المنصوص عليه في المادة 51 من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة.
وفي سياق متصل، دانت الكويت الاعتداءات الإيرانية التي استهدفت البحرين والأردن، مؤكدة تضامنها الكامل مع البلدين.
وقالت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية في بيان إن الاعتداءات تمثل «انتهاكاً صارخاً» لسيادة البحرين والأردن وسلامة أراضيهما، وخرقاً للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة وقرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2817، معلنة وقوف الكويت إلى جانب البلدين، ودعمهما في الإجراءات التي يتخذانها كافة لحماية أمنهما وسيادتهما واستقرارهما.
Kuwait has condemned -in the strongest terms- an Iranian attack that targeted a power generation and water desalination station again this morning (Sunday).
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that the repeated deliberate targeting of vital and civilian facilities reflects a "systematic aggressive approach," and represents a highly dangerous escalation and a grave threat to the safety and security of civilians, in addition to being a violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817.
The ministry held Iran fully responsible, legally and morally, for these attacks and the resulting repercussions and consequences, clarifying that Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to preserve its security and defend its territory and vital facilities against any aggression or threat, based on the right to self-defense stipulated in Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
In a related context, Kuwait condemned the Iranian attacks that targeted Bahrain and Jordan, affirming its full solidarity with both countries.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that the attacks represent a "blatant violation" of the sovereignty of Bahrain and Jordan and the integrity of their territories, and a breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817, announcing Kuwait's support for both countries and their actions taken to protect their security, sovereignty, and stability.
