استدعت وزارة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين الأردنية اليوم (الأحد) القائم بأعمال سفارة إيران في عمّان، وبلّغته رسالة احتجاج شديدة اللهجة ضد استمرار الاعتداءات الإيرانية الغاشمة وغير المبررة التي تستهدف أراضي الأردن، والبيانات التحريضية الاستفزازية التي تصدر عن جهات رسمية إيرانية بخصوص الأردن.
وأكد المتحدث باسم الوزارة السفير فؤاد المجالي أن الوزارة طلبت من القائم بالأعمال نقل رسالة واضحة إلى بلاده بوقف الاعتداءات على الأردن فورًا، وأن أمن الأردن وسلامة مواطنيه يمثلان خطًا أحمرَ لا يمكن المساس به، وكذلك ضرورة وقف التصريحات التحريضية المرفوضة، مؤكدًا إدانة الوزارة واستنكارها للاعتداءات الإيرانية الغاشمة التي تمثل انتهاكًا صارخًا لسيادة الأردن، وخرقًا فاضحًا للقانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة.
وأكد المجالي إدانة الأردن للاعتداءات الإيرانية الغاشمة التي تستهدف دول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية الشقيقة، وتضامن الأردن المطلق ووقوفه معها في كل ما تتخذه من خطوات لحماية سيادتها وأمنها وسلامة مواطنيها والمقيمين فيها.
وجدد المجالي التأكيد أن الأردن سيستمر في اتخاذ جميع الخطوات المتاحة واللازمة لحماية سلامة مواطنيه وأمنه وسيادته.
بدوره، نفى وزير الاتصال الحكومي المتحدث باسم الحكومة الأردنية الدكتور محمد المومني إصدار السلطات المعنية أية قرارات بإخلاء في مطار العقبة أو الميناء.
وقال الدكتور المومني في تصريح صحفي إن مطار الملك الحسين الدولي والميناء في العقبة يعملان بشكل طبيعي، ولا توجد هناك أية مخاطر محتملة للتحذير بشأنها من قبل الجهات الأردنية المتخصصة، موضحاً أن الأمور تجري في سياقها الطبيعي وفقاً للإجراءات المعدة مسبقاً، التي من ضمنها إطلاق صافرات الإنذار من فوره.
وشدد المومني على أنه لم تسجل لدى الجهات الأردنية المتخصصة تهديدات محتملة خلال الساعات الماضية.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates summoned the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Amman today (Sunday) and delivered a strongly worded protest against the continued brutal and unjustified Iranian attacks targeting Jordanian territory, as well as the provocative incitement statements issued by official Iranian entities regarding Jordan.
The ministry's spokesperson, Ambassador Fouad Majali, confirmed that the ministry requested the Chargé d'Affaires to convey a clear message to his country to immediately cease the attacks on Jordan, emphasizing that the security of Jordan and the safety of its citizens represent a red line that cannot be crossed, as well as the necessity to halt the unacceptable incitement statements. He reiterated the ministry's condemnation and denunciation of the brutal Iranian attacks, which constitute a blatant violation of Jordan's sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Majali affirmed Jordan's condemnation of the brutal Iranian attacks targeting the sister Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Jordan's complete solidarity and support for them in all measures they take to protect their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their citizens and residents.
Majali reiterated that Jordan will continue to take all available and necessary steps to protect the safety of its citizens, its security, and its sovereignty.
For his part, the Minister of Government Communication and spokesperson for the Jordanian government, Dr. Muhammad Momani, denied that the relevant authorities issued any decisions regarding evacuations at Aqaba Airport or the port.
Dr. Momani stated in a press statement that King Hussein International Airport and the port in Aqaba are operating normally, and there are no potential risks that require warnings from the specialized Jordanian authorities, explaining that matters are proceeding in their normal context according to the pre-prepared procedures, which include the immediate sounding of alarms.
Momani emphasized that no potential threats have been recorded by the specialized Jordanian authorities in the past hours.
