فيما يتمتع طلاب وطالبات ومنسوبو ومنسوبات مدارس التعليم العام في مختلف مناطق ومحافظات المملكة بالإجازة الصيفية مع نهاية دوام غدٍ (الخميس)، بعد اختتام العام الدراسي 1447هـ رسمياً، ينتظر طلاب وطالبات مدارس مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة ومحافظتي جدة والطائف أسبوعاً إضافياً قبل بدء إجازتهم؛ وذلك لحين الانتهاء من الاختبارات التحريرية لنهاية الفصل الدراسي الثاني واختبارات الدور الثاني للطلاب والطالبات المكملين، وفقاً للتقويم الدراسي الذي اعتمدته وزارة التعليم، نظراً لظروف موسم الحج وما يصاحبه من كثافة مرورية في هذه المدن الأربع.
ومع نهاية العام الدراسي، تعود إلى الواجهة ظاهرة امتهان الكتب المدرسية، إذ تنتشر قصاصات الكتب والأوراق على جنبات أسوار المدارس والأرصفة المحيطة بها، في مشهد غير حضاري. وطالب عدد من أولياء الأمور المدارس بضرورة منع الطلاب والطالبات من إخراج الكتب المدرسية والدفاتر بعد انتهاء اختبار المادة في اليوم نفسه، ووضعها في حاويات مخصصة للمحافظة عليها ومنع امتهانها، إلى جانب بث رسائل توعوية للأسر والطلاب والطالبات قبل بدء الاختبارات وخلال أيامها، تبرز أهمية المحافظة على الكتب المدرسية.
وأشار أولياء الأمور إلى ضرورة تخصيص مشرفين من المعلمين والإداريين لمتابعة الطلاب والطالبات عند خروجهم من المدارس، للحد من أي ممارسات سلبية تتعلق بإتلاف الكتب أو امتهانها.
While students and staff of public education schools in various regions and governorates of the Kingdom enjoy their summer vacation with the end of the workday tomorrow (Thursday), after the official conclusion of the academic year 1447 AH, students of schools in Mecca, Medina, and the governorates of Jeddah and Taif are waiting for an additional week before their vacation begins; this is until the completion of the written exams for the end of the second semester and the second round exams for students who need to complete their courses, according to the academic calendar approved by the Ministry of Education, due to the circumstances of the Hajj season and the accompanying traffic congestion in these four cities.
With the end of the academic year, the phenomenon of the mishandling of school books comes to the forefront, as scraps of books and papers spread along the walls of schools and the surrounding sidewalks, in an uncivilized scene. A number of parents have called on schools to prevent students from taking out school books and notebooks after the exam for the subject on the same day, and to place them in designated containers to preserve them and prevent their mishandling, in addition to sending awareness messages to families and students before and during the exam days, highlighting the importance of taking care of school books.
Parents pointed out the necessity of assigning supervisors from teachers and administrators to monitor students when they leave schools, to limit any negative practices related to the destruction or mishandling of books.
