كشفت حملة ميدانية مشتركة نفذتها أمانة جدة في حي «الرويس» منزلاً سكنيّاً مُستَغلّاً في أنشطة مخالفة شملت تخزين مواد غذائية منتهية الصلاحية وتشغيل مسلخ للأغنام وسكناً للعمالة.
وأوضح مدير رصد ومعالجة الظواهر السلبية ياسر سراج بخش، أن الحملة استهدفت منزلاً سكنيّاً استُغلّ كمستودع للمواد الغذائية، إذ كشفت المعاينة الميدانية وجود منتجات منتهية الصلاحية، وأخرى ظهرت عليها علامات التلف والفساد وسوء التخزين.
وبيّن أن الفرق الميدانية بمشاركة عدد من الجهات ذات العلاقة، رصدت مواد وأدوات تُستخدم في تعديل بيانات الصلاحية، كما ضُبطت عينات من المنتجات ذاتها تحمل تواريخ مختلفة، بعضها منتهي الصلاحية وأخرى عُدلت بياناتها الأصلية لتمديد فترة صلاحيتها، مشيراً إلى أن الموقع يضم مطبخاً مجهزاً لإعداد الولائم، ومسلخاً للأغنام وحظيرة، إلى جانب جزء منفصل يُستخدم سكناً للعمالة بصورة مخالفة للاشتراطات النظامية.
وأكدت أمانة محافظة جدة مواصلة جهودها الرقابية لمتابعة الأنشطة المخالفة والحد من الممارسات غير النظامية التي تمس الصحة العامة، وحثت المواطنين والمقيمين على الإبلاغ عن أي ملاحظات عبر تطبيق «بلدي» أو مركز البلاغات الموحد.
A joint field campaign conducted by the Jeddah Municipality in the "Al-Ruwais" neighborhood revealed a residential house being exploited for illegal activities, including the storage of expired food products, operating a sheep slaughterhouse, and housing for laborers.
Yasser Siraj Baksh, the Director of Monitoring and Addressing Negative Phenomena, explained that the campaign targeted a residential house that was used as a warehouse for food products. The field inspection revealed the presence of expired products, as well as others showing signs of spoilage, corruption, and poor storage.
He indicated that the field teams, in collaboration with several relevant authorities, detected materials and tools used to alter expiration dates. Samples of the same products were seized, bearing different dates, some of which were expired while others had their original data modified to extend their shelf life. He pointed out that the site includes a kitchen equipped for preparing banquets, a sheep slaughterhouse, and a barn, in addition to a separate part used as housing for laborers in violation of regulatory requirements.
The Jeddah Municipality confirmed its ongoing regulatory efforts to monitor illegal activities and limit non-compliant practices that affect public health. It urged citizens and residents to report any observations via the "Baladi" application or the unified reporting center.
