دشّن البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، المرحلة الثالثة من تطوير مطار عدن الدولي، وتشمل إعادة تأهيل المدرج الرئيسي وتحديث أنظمة الملاحة والاتصالات؛ بهدف تحسين تجربة المسافرين، ورفع كفاءة البنية التحتية، وتعزيز مكانة عدن مركزاً اقتصادياً مهماً.
ويأتي المشروع استكمالاً لمراحل سابقة شملت تطوير مبنى الركاب والمدرج المساعد ومرافق الشحن الجوي ورفع جاهزية المطار للطوارئ. كما يندرج ضمن جهود البرنامج لدعم قطاع النقل في اليمن، بما في ذلك تطوير المطارات والموانئ والطرق والمنافذ الحدودية.
وتبرز ضمن هذه الجهود إعادة تأهيل نحو 200 كيلومتر من الطرق، ومنها طريق العبر الذي يخدم أكثر من 11 مليون مستفيد، إضافة إلى تطوير منفذ الوديعة لتعزيز الحركة الاقتصادية والتنمية في اليمن.
The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen has launched the third phase of the development of Aden International Airport, which includes the rehabilitation of the main runway and the modernization of navigation and communication systems; with the aim of improving the travel experience, enhancing infrastructure efficiency, and strengthening Aden's position as an important economic center.
This project follows previous phases that included the development of the passenger terminal, the secondary runway, and air cargo facilities, as well as increasing the airport's readiness for emergencies. It is also part of the program's efforts to support the transportation sector in Yemen, including the development of airports, ports, roads, and border crossings.
Among these efforts is the rehabilitation of approximately 200 kilometers of roads, including the Al-Abra road, which serves more than 11 million beneficiaries, in addition to the development of the Al-Wadiah border crossing to enhance economic movement and development in Yemen.
