نجح فريق طبي بمستشفى الملك فهد المركزي، أحد مكونات تجمع جازان الصحي، في إجراء أول عملية من نوعها في منطقة جازان باستخدام تقنية OLIF لمريضة تعاني من آلام شديدة في أسفل الظهر أثّرت على قدرتها على الحركة لفترة طويلة، إلا أن التدخل الجراحي بهذه التقنية المتقدمة أسهم في تحسن حالتها بشكل مباشر، إذ استعادت القدرة على الوقوف والمشي، وغادرت المستشفى خلال أقل من 48 ساعة من إجراء العملية.
وتعتمد تقنية OLIF على الوصول إلى الفقرات القطنية وتثبيتها عبر فتحة جانبية صغيرة من البطن دون المساس بعضلات الظهر أو القناة العصبية، مما يسمح بتثبيت الفقرات وتخفيف الضغط على الأعصاب، مع فقدان أقل للدم وفترة تعافٍ أسرع مقارنة بالجراحات التقليدية.
وشارك في هذا الإنجاز الفريق الطبي المعالج المكوّن من الدكتور مشعل جريبي استشاري جراحة المخ والأعصاب والعمود الفقري، والدكتور عبدالله خواجي استشاري جراحة المسالك البولية، والدكتور مصطفى زيتون أخصائي جراحة المخ والأعصاب، والدكتور مدحت حنتيري استشاري التخدير، ونواف عفل تمريض العمليات، وخالد الشراحيلي مشرف العمليات.
ويأتي ذلك ضمن جهود تجمع جازان الصحي لتوطين التقنيات الطبية المتقدمة، ورفع جودة الخدمات الصحية المقدمة لسكان المنطقة، وتقليل الحاجة إلى الإحالات العلاجية خارج المنطقة.
A medical team at King Fahd Central Hospital, part of the Jazan Health Cluster, successfully performed the first operation of its kind in the Jazan region using the OLIF technique on a patient suffering from severe lower back pain that had affected her mobility for a long time. However, the surgical intervention using this advanced technique directly contributed to her improvement, as she regained the ability to stand and walk, and left the hospital in less than 48 hours after the procedure.
The OLIF technique relies on accessing and stabilizing the lumbar vertebrae through a small lateral opening in the abdomen without affecting the back muscles or the spinal canal, allowing for the stabilization of the vertebrae and relieving pressure on the nerves, with less blood loss and a faster recovery period compared to traditional surgeries.
This achievement involved the treating medical team, which included Dr. Mishal Jreibi, a consultant in neurosurgery and spinal surgery; Dr. Abdullah Khawaji, a consultant in urology; Dr. Mustafa Zaitoun, a specialist in neurosurgery; Dr. Medhat Hantiri, an anesthesia consultant; Nawaf Afal, operating room nurse; and Khalid Al-Sharhili, operations supervisor.
This is part of the efforts of the Jazan Health Cluster to localize advanced medical technologies, enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to the region's residents, and reduce the need for treatment referrals outside the area.
