The "Yemen Dawn" operation entered its third day on Wednesday, amidst progress being made by the armed forces on several fronts.
The Yemeni forces have intensified their military operations across various axes, coinciding with new advancements in Taiz Governorate, ongoing operations in Marib and the western coast, and airstrikes targeting Houthi military capabilities in Sana'a, Saada, and Hodeidah.
Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation, Samir Al-Haj, confirmed that "Yemen Dawn" is an urgent necessity to rid Yemen of the terrorist Houthi militia.
Al-Haj stated in remarks to "Al Arabiya.net" that the military operation is a collaborative effort between the legitimate government and coalition forces, emphasizing that the current battle is a "battle for liberation" from the terrorist militias.
The military official stressed that the Houthis' control over some villages and districts in Yemen will not change the course of the battle, which he said must "continue until the end."
Yemeni Assistant Minister of Defense, Samir Al-Haj, sent a message to military leaders who have cooperated with the Houthis, stating that military honor requires defending the homeland and protecting the state and its institutions from violations and coups. He added that the Houthis have staged a coup against the state, making it everyone's responsibility, including military personnel, to confront them.
Al-Haj urged military personnel to take a clear stance, or at least refrain from assisting the Houthis, accusing the militia of causing the destruction of the country and plunging it into a devastating war that has consumed everything, in addition to exacerbating misery and hunger and hindering development, alongside the siege imposed on citizens in the cities.
The Assistant Minister of Defense revealed a prevailing popular rejection of the Houthis, noting that the militia attempts to cover up this rejection by fabricating battles and clashes, pushing misled youth and tribesmen towards side conflicts, away from their rights and needs, and from issues of national development and the payment of their salaries.
He stated that the Houthis are well aware that the Yemeni people's stance towards them will not change, no matter how long the conflict lasts, or how many gains they achieve or support they receive from some countries, considering that the popular rejection of the group represents a continuous challenge for them.
