حذرت قيادة الجيش اللبناني اليوم (السبت) من الإخلال بالأمن والقيام بتحركات غير محسوبة العواقب.
وكتب الجيش اللبناني عبر حسابه على منصة «إكس»: «أمام ما يواجهه لبنان من تحديات استثنائية، وإذ تؤكد قيادة الجيش احترامها لحرية التعبير السلمي عن الرأي، فإنها تدعو المواطنين إلى التحلي بالمسؤولية في ظل الدعوات إلى تظاهرات وتحركات في مدينة بيروت ومناطق أخرى».
وشدد الجيش اللبناني على أهمية الوحدة والتضامن لتجاوز الأخطار المحدقة بالبلاد، مؤكداً أن قيادة الجيش لن تسمح بأي إخلال بالأمن أو مساس بالسلم الأهلي من خلال تحركات غير محسوبة العواقب، أو قطع الطرقات، أو التعدي على الأملاك العامة والخاصة.
جاء ذلك في وقت هدد فيه حزب الله بإثارة الفوضى وقطع الطرقات رداً على اتفاق السلام، وتأكيداً لرفضه نزع سلاحه.
وفي غضون ذلك، ذكرت وسائل إعلام لبنانية أن طائرة مسيرة إسرائيلية شنت غارة على بلدة النبطية الفوقا جنوبي البلاد.
في المقابل، نقلت هيئة البث الإسرائيلية عن مصادر قولها إن الجيش الإسرائيلي يستعد للانسحاب من المنطقتين التجريبيتين في جنوب لبنان غداً (الأحد)، موضحة أنه سيبدأ الانسحاب أولاً من قريتي زوطر الغربية وفرون، في إطار خطوة تجريبية.
من جانبه، قال وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس إن الاتفاق الذي وُقّع أمس مع الولايات المتحدة ولبنان يمثل حدثاً تاريخياً وإنجازاً سياسياً وأمنياً مهماً لإسرائيل، من شأنه أن يغير الواقع الأمني على الحدود الشمالية.
وأكد كاتس أن إسرائيل لن تنسحب من جنوب لبنان، وستواصل تموضعها في المنطقة الأمنية، بما في ذلك الشقيف، مبيناً أن المنطقة الأمنية ستكون خالية من السكان ومن البنى التحتية التابعة لحزب الله.
وأضاف: «لن يكون هناك إعادة انتشار أو انسحاب إسرائيلي قبل نزع سلاح حزب الله في جميع أنحاء لبنان»، مؤكداً أن إسرائيل ستحافظ على حرية العمل العسكري لإحباط أي تهديد يستهدف جنودها أو سكان البلدات الشمالية.
The Lebanese Army Command warned today (Saturday) against disrupting security and undertaking actions with unpredictable consequences.
The Lebanese Army wrote on its account on the "X" platform: "In light of the exceptional challenges facing Lebanon, and while the Army Command reaffirms its respect for the peaceful expression of opinion, it calls on citizens to act responsibly amidst calls for demonstrations and movements in the city of Beirut and other areas."
The Lebanese Army emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity to overcome the dangers threatening the country, affirming that the Army Command will not allow any disruption of security or harm to civil peace through actions with unpredictable consequences, roadblocks, or violations of public and private property.
This came at a time when Hezbollah threatened to incite chaos and block roads in response to the peace agreement, reaffirming its rejection of disarming.
Meanwhile, Lebanese media reported that an Israeli drone carried out an airstrike on the town of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa in the south of the country.
In contrast, Israeli broadcasting authority reported sources saying that the Israeli army is preparing to withdraw from the two experimental areas in southern Lebanon tomorrow (Sunday), clarifying that it will begin the withdrawal first from the villages of Zoutar al-Gharbiyeh and Frun, as part of a trial step.
For his part, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that the agreement signed yesterday with the United States and Lebanon represents a historic event and an important political and security achievement for Israel, which could change the security reality along the northern border.
Galant confirmed that Israel will not withdraw from southern Lebanon and will continue its positioning in the security zone, including the Shuqif, indicating that the security zone will be free of residents and infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah.
He added: "There will be no redeployment or Israeli withdrawal before the disarmament of Hezbollah throughout Lebanon," affirming that Israel will maintain the freedom to conduct military operations to thwart any threat targeting its soldiers or residents of the northern towns.
