أوقفت مشاجرة بالأيدي بين نواب الحزب الحاكم والمعارضة أعمال البرلمان الجورجي، (الجمعة)، خلال الجلسة التي شهدت كلمة رئيس الوزراء إيراكلي كوباخيدزه السنوية، في تصعيد جديد يعكس حدة الانقسام السياسي في البلاد.
مشادة تتحول إلى عراك داخل القاعة
اندلع الاشتباك عقب كلمة ألقاها النائب جورجي شاراشيدزه، المنتمي إلى حزب «من أجل جورجيا» المعارض، الذي أسسه رئيس الوزراء السابق جورجي جاخاريا، قبل أن تتطور المشادات الكلامية سريعاً إلى اشتباك بالأيدي بين نواب الحزب الحاكم «الحلم الجورجي» وأعضاء من المعارضة، ما اضطر رئاسة البرلمان إلى تعليق الجلسة.
اتهامات للحكومة بالتراجع الديمقراطي
وشهدت الجلسة انتقادات حادة من نواب المعارضة لرئيس الوزراء، اتهموه خلالها بالتراجع عن المسار الديمقراطي، وإبعاد جورجيا عن طريقها نحو الانضمام إلى الاتحاد الأوروبي، وهو ما زاد من حدة التوتر داخل القاعة.

A quarrel turns into a brawl inside the hall
The clash erupted following a speech delivered by deputy Giorgi Sharashidze, a member of the opposition party "For Georgia," which was founded by former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, before the verbal exchanges quickly escalated into a physical altercation between deputies of the ruling party "Georgian Dream" and members of the opposition, forcing the parliamentary leadership to suspend the session.
Accusations against the government of democratic backsliding
The session witnessed sharp criticisms from opposition deputies directed at the Prime Minister, accusing him of backtracking on the democratic path and distancing Georgia from its journey towards joining the European Union, which heightened the tension inside the hall.
No information on injuries or actions taken
The parliamentary authorities did not immediately announce any injuries or disciplinary actions against the deputies involved in the altercation, while images and videos circulated in Georgian media showed moments of the brawl inside the parliament hall before the session was suspended.
